David Pasqualucci
David Pasqualucci (born 27 June 1996) is an Italian competitive archer. He won a silver medal in the men's team recurve at the 2015 World Championships, and also competed as a member of Italy's archery squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He currently trains under the tutelage of his coaches Fabio Pivari and Wietse van Alten, a Sydney 2000 Olympian from the Netherlands, for the Italian team, while shooting at the Tempio di Diana Archery Range ( it, Arcieri del Tempio di Diana) in Rome. Pasqualucci rose to prominence in the international archery scene at the 2015 World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. There, he and his compatriots Michele Frangilli and Mauro Nespoli, both of whom came as reigning Olympic champions from London 2012, capture a silver medal in the men's team recurve to secure a full quota spot for Rio 2016, despite losing the title 0–6 to the South Koreans. Michele Frangilli
Michele Frangilli (born 1 May 1976) is an Italian archer. Biography He was born in Gallarate. He competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in men's individual archery, finishing in 6th place and winning the bronze medal in the team event. He also competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in men's individual archery, finishing in 10th place and winning the silver medal in the team event. In 2003 he has won the World Target Archery Championships for Recurve (Olympic) Division in New York. Antonio Fernández Fernández (born June 12, 1991) is a Spanish competitive archer. He won a silver medal as a member of the nation's archery squad at the 2015 European Games, and also collected two individual titles in a regional competition, spanning the European Grand Prix and the Mediterranean Games, both of which were held in 2013. Since his sporting debut as a teenager, Fernandez currently trains under the tutelage of his Korean-born coach Cho Hyung-mok for the Spanish team, while shooting at San Jorge de Cáceres. Fernández rose to prominence in the international archery scene, when he and his compatriots Juan Ignacio Rodríguez and eventual individual champion Miguel Alvariño obtained a silver medal in the men's team recurve final against Ukraine at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. The men's individual archery event was one of 4 archery events at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The medals were presented by Uğur Erdener, IOC member, Turkey and Tom Dielen, Secretary General of the World Archery Federation. Competition format As with the other archery events, the men's individual was a recurve archery event, held under the World Archery-approved 70-meter distance and rules. 64 archers participated. Competition began with a ranking round, in which each archer shot 72 arrows. The scores from the ranking round were used to seed the archers into a single-elimination bracket. Marco Galiazzo
Marco Galiazzo (born 7 May 1983, in Padova) is an athlete from Italy. He competes in archery for C.S. Aeronautica Militare, and is a former world number one. He was the first Olympic champion in the Italian archery history, winner of the gold medal in men's individual competition at Olympic Games – Athens 2004 and gold medal in team competition at the Olympic Games – London 2012 (in the same event he won silver at the Olympic Games – Beijing 2008). Career Galiazzo started to shoot at the age of thirteen, together with his father, who later became his coach. The men's team archery event was one of 4 archery events at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Competition format As with the other archery events, the men's team was a recurve archery event, held under the World Archery-approved 70-meter distance and rules. 12 teams of 3 archers each participated.
