David Howe (speedway Rider)
David Peter Howe (born 1 March 1982) is a British former professional motorcycle speedway rider. Career Born in Leicester, England, David Howe started his career on 31 March 1997, aged 15, with the Peterborough Panthers team in the Conference League (speedway), Conference League. He is a three-time Speedway Grand Prix, Grand Prix participant, having been awarded wild card places for 2003 Speedway Grand Prix series in Britain and Slovenia. He also featured as a wild card for the 2007 Speedway Grand Prix of Great Britain, awarded to him after finishing runner-up in the 2007 British Championship. In 1999 he won 3 Titles with Peterborough Panthers: The Elite League Title, the Knockout Cup and the Craven Shield. He won the British Under-21 Champion in 2000 and in 2002 he finished third in the World Under-21 Championship. Kings Lynn Stars
King's Lynn Stars are a motorcycle speedway team who compete in the SGB Premiership. The nickname "Stars" comes from the defunct Norwich Stars team. The team was founded in 1965 and has been running continually since then, except for 1996 when King's Lynn failed to have a team competing in the British league system. History 1966–1995 The team's inaugural season was the 1966 British League season, where they finished 16th. They managed to finish in third place during the 1972 and 1973 seasons with their strongest riders being Terry Betts and Malcolm Simmons. The first silverware won by the team was the Knockout Cup in 1977. They won the final by the small margin of two points on aggregate, thanks largely to Michael Lee and Betts. Skegness ( ) is a seaside town and civil parish in the East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire, England. Kolejarz Rawicz (Railwayman Rawicz) is a motorcycle speedway team based in Rawicz, Poland. They currently race in the Polish Speedway Second League (2. Liga). History The club competed in the inaugural 1948 Polish speedway season, under the name of Motoklub Rawicz. The club's first team honour was winning the bronze medal in the Team Speedway Polish Championship in 1954 and the following season they went one better after winning the silver medal in 1955. Their leading rider Florian Kapała won the Polish Individual Speedway Championship in 1953 and 1956. The club was disbanded after the 1959 season and was not reformed until 1996. The club later won the Polish Speedway Second League three times in 2000, 2007 and 2012.
