Dark Jovian
''Dark Jovian'' is an EP by Brazilian electronic musician Amon Tobin. A teaser video was posted of a one-minute snippet of 'Dark Jovian' on April 10, 2015. It was released on April 18, 2015 through Ninja Tune Records as a Record Store Day exclusive. Due to a shipping delay, release in North America was postponed to May 5, 2015. Amon Adonai Santos de Araújo Tobin (born February 7, 1972), known as Amon Tobin (), is a Brazilian electronic musician, composer and producer. He is noted for his unusual methodology in sound design and music production. He has released eight major studio albums under the London-based Ninja Tune record label. He has also released two albums under the alias Two Fingers with collaborator Doubleclick (musician), Doubleclick. His latest release, ''A Living Room (Music from Meow Wolf's Omega Mart)'', was released on September 23, 2022. Ninja Tune is an English independent record label based in London. It has a satellite office in Los Angeles. It was founded by Matt Black and Jonathan More (better known as Coldcut) and managed by Peter Quicke and others. ''Fear in a Handful of Dust'' is the eighth studio album by Brazilian electronic musician Amon Tobin. It was released on 26 April 2019. Critical reception Paul Simpson of AllMusic described the album as "highly intricate electro-acoustic pieces that bring to mind composers like Morton Subotnick and György Ligeti rather than any of Tobin's former labelmates" but concluded that "''Fear in a Handful of Dust'' seems like a departure for Tobin, but even while he's abandoning conventional rhythms or genre signifiers, his music remains unmistakably human, and as challenging as the album might seem, it's easier to listen to than one might expect." György Ligeti
György Sándor Ligeti (; ; 28 May 1923 – 12 June 2006) was a Hungarian-Austrian composer of contemporary classical music. He has been described as "one of the most important avant-garde composers in the latter half of the twentieth century" and "one of the most innovative and influential among progressive figures of his time". Born in Transylvania, Romania, he lived in the Hungarian People's Republic before emigrating to Austria in 1956. He became an Austrian citizen in 1968. In 1973 he became professor of composition at the Hamburg Hochschule für Musik und Theater, where he worked until retiring in 1989. He died in Vienna in 2006. Restricted in his musical style by the authorities of Communist Hungary, only when he reached the West in 1956 could Ligeti fully realise his passion for avant-garde music and develop new compositional techniques. Adrastea (), also known as , is the second by distance, and the smallest of the four inner moons of Jupiter. Io (), or Jupiter I, is the innermost and third-largest of the four Galilean moons of the planet Jupiter.
