''ISAM'' is the seventh full-length studio album by Brazilian electronic musician Amon Tobin, released on 19 April 2011 on Ninja Tune. Background and composition ''ISAM'', its title being an acronym for "Invented Sounds Applied to Music", marked a significant evolution in Amon Tobin's sound due to the absence of vinyl samples and trademark jazz-oriented breaks. Extending from his stylistic experimentation on ''Foley Room'', prominent elements of ''ISAM'' include complex sound design and heavily processed field recordings obtained from a variety of sources. Amon Adonai Santos de Araújo Tobin (born February 7, 1972), known as Amon Tobin (), is a Brazilian electronic musician, composer and producer. He is noted for his unusual methodology in sound design and music production. He has released eight major studio albums under the London-based Ninja Tune record label. He has also released two albums under the alias Two Fingers with collaborator Doubleclick (musician), Doubleclick. His latest release, ''A Living Room (Music from Meow Wolf's Omega Mart)'', was released on September 23, 2022. His music has been used in numerous major motion pictures including ''The Italian Job (2003 film), The Italian Job'' and ''21 (2008 film), 21''. Tessa Farmer
Tessa Farmer (born 1978, Birmingham, UK) is an artist based in London. Her work, made from insect carcasses, plant roots and other found natural materials, comprises hanging installations depicting Boschian battles between insects and tiny winged skeletal humanoids. Farmer studied at The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in 2000 and her Master of Arts in 2003. Subsequent awards include the Vivien Leigh Prize, a sculpture residency in King's Wood, Challock, Kent, and a Royal British Society of Sculptors Bursary Award. Field recording is the term used for an audio recording produced outside a recording studio, and the term applies to recordings of both natural and human-produced sounds. It also applies to sound recordings like electromagnetic fields or vibrations using different microphones like a passive magnetic antenna for electromagnetic recordings or contact microphones. Breakbeat is a broad type of electronic music that tends to use drum breaks sampled from early recordings of funk, jazz, and R&B.
