Danny Gibson
Danny Gibson (born January 28, 1984) is an American professional basketball player, who lastly played for Śląsk Wrocław of the PLK. Gibson plays the point guard or shooting guard and has played in multiple leagues in Europe. Professional career On October 17, 2013, Gibson signed with Śląsk Wrocław of the Polish Basketball League. He won the Polish Basketball Cup with Śląsk Wrocław. On July 14, 2014, Gibson signed with Rosa Radom of the Polish Basketball League. On August 11, 2015, Gibson signed with Pierniki Toruń of the Polish Basketball League. On October 29, 2019, he has signed with Śląsk Wrocław of the PLK. WKS Śląsk Wrocław is a Polish basketball club, based in Wrocław. Founded in 1948, Śląsk is the most decorated Polish basketball club, with 17 Polish League and 14 Polish cup championships. BC Academic Metropol Region ( bg, БК "Академик" Метропол-Рийджън) is a reestablished Bulgarian professional basketball club based in the capital Sofia. In April 2022, Academic has been reborn and rebranded by the new owners, the german-bulgarian Ex-professional basketball player Viktor Vladov and Georgi Petrov. DBL All-Star Gala
The Dutch Basketball League All-Star Gala was a yearly basketball event in the Netherlands, organised by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). During the event the yearly All-Star Game was played, which included the best players of a given DBL season. Additionally, a dunk Contest and three-point contest were also held at the event. Since the 2017–18 season, the event is no longer organised by the FEB. 2009–10 Dutch Basketball League
The 2009–10 Dutch Basketball League (DBL) was the 50th season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. GasTerra Flames dominated throughout the regular season and lost just three games. Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden player Danny Gibson was league top scorer and won the Most Valuable Player award. Dutch Basketball Cup
The Basketball Cup, formerly the NBB Cup ( nl, NBB-Beker), is an annual cup competition for Dutch basketball teams organised by the Basketball Nederland. Every team in the Netherlands can participate by signing up for the preliminary rounds. Professional basketball teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the tournament in the fourth round. From 1977 until 1990 professional teams were not allowed to participate in the competition. The tournament is organized in a knock-out format, with quarter- and semi-finals being two-legged series while the final is played in a single game. The Polish Basketball Cup ( pl, Puchar Polski w koszykówce mężczyzn) is the annual top-tier level national domestic basketball cup competition for clubs in Poland.
