Danleigh Borman
Danleigh Borman (born 27 January 1985 in Cape Town) is a South African footballer who plays as a defender. Career College and amateur Borman began his career in the youth system of South African Premier Soccer League side Santos, before moving to the United States in 2004 to play college soccer at the University of Rhode Island. He was named A-10 Rookie of the Year in 2004, finishing with two goals and five assists. He earned the A-10 Championship Most Outstanding Player Award after helping the Rams to a 2–0 win over St. Louis University in the 2006 Championship Game, and was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference second team in 2007 after finishing his senior season with one goal and seven assists. Borman totalled seven goals and 16 assists in 83 games in his four seasons with Rhode Island. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The two-stage 2011 MLS Re-Entry Draft took place on December 5, 2011 (Stage 1) and December 12, 2011 (Stage 2). All 19 Major League Soccer clubs participated.
