Daniel Lemma
Daniel Lemma (born 1972 in Ethiopia) is a Swedish-based musician/singer-songwriter. His music is firmly connected to an American tradition of roots music, with visible ties to early blues and gospel. He has referred to singers such as Lead Belly and Pops Staples as being very influential to him- but also artists such as Chuck Berry, James Brown and Bob Dylan. Daniel Lemma was born in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, but came to Sweden as an infant. He formed his first bands in his teens, and couple of years later he moved to Gothenburg (where he still resides). In the mid nineties, Lemma was a part of the group Mo Blues. He later moved to New York, where he recorded an album (for Pallas Records) that was never released due to a legal dispute. After returning to Sweden in 2000, Lemma recorded the soundtrack to Josef Fares' movie ''Jalla! Jalla!'' ''Jalla! Jalla!'' is a Swedish comedy film, which was released in cinemas in Sweden on December 22nd 2000. It was directed by Swedish-Lebanese filmmaker Josef Fares, and starred Fares Fares, Torkel Petersson, Tuva Novotny and Laleh Pourkarim in the leading roles. World Scout Jamboree 2011
The 22nd World Scout Jamboree (Swedish: ''22:a världsjamboreen'') took place in Rinkaby, Kristianstad, Scania in southern Sweden from 27 July to 7 August 2011. The theme was ''Simply Scouting''. 40,061 Scouts, leaders and adult volunteers participated from 166 different countries. Jamboree site The Jamboree was held on the fields of Rinkaby. In 2001, a national Jamboree took place here with 26,700 participants, and another national Jamboree, ''Jiingijamborii'' was held here from 14–22 July 2007. The camp area itself lies near the coast on sandy ground surrounded by pine woods. Sandy earth helps rain water run off and thus there is no risk of any parts of the camp area being waterlogged. Grammis
The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. The awards were established in 1969 and awarded until 1972 when they were cancelled, then revived in 1987. There are around 20 different award categories, which have changed over the years. Josef Fares
Josef Fares (born 19 September 1977) is a Swedish-Lebanese film director and video game designer of Assyrian descent. His brother is the actor Fares Fares, who has appeared in many of his films. He is the founder of Hazelight Studios. Biography Josef Fares moved to Sweden when he was 10 years old, fleeing the Lebanese Civil War with his family. ''Variety'' declared him one of ten upcoming directors to watch in 2006. The same year he won the Nordic Council Film Prize for his film '' Zozo''.
