Dana Ivgy
Dana Ivgy ( he, דאנה איבגי; born April 3, 1982) is an Israeli actress and the daughter of actor Moshe Ivgy. Career As a child, Ivgy appeared in several television and film productions. Since graduating from acting school she has appeared in several critically acclaimed films. In 2002 she garnered the attention of the Israeli Film Academy when she was nominated for the ''Best Supporting Actress'' award for her portrayals of Sarit in the sports drama ''Beitar Provence''. She also received the nomination for her role of Tikva Ida in the drama, ''The Barbecue People'' based around a picnic celebrating Israeli Independence day. She also appeared in the critically acclaimed film, '' Broken Wings''. She received considerable acclaim as the protagonist in Keren Yedaya's 2004 picture, ''Or (My Treasure)'' a drama about a teenager (Ivgy) and her prostitute mother (played by Ronit Elkabetz). Witold Gombrowicz
Witold Marian Gombrowicz (August 4, 1904 – July 24, 1969) was a Polish writer and playwright. His works are characterised by deep psychological analysis, a certain sense of paradox and absurd, anti-nationalist flavor. In 1937 he published his first novel, '' Ferdydurke'', which presented many of his usual themes: problems of immaturity and youth, creation of identity in interactions with others, and an ironic, critical examination of class roles in Polish society and culture. He gained fame only during the last years of his life, but is now considered one of the foremost figures of Polish literature. His diaries were published in 1969 and are, according to the ''Paris Review'', "widely considered his masterpiece", while ''Cosmos'' is considered, according to ''The New Yorker'', "his most accomplished novel". The Savoy Hotel attack was a terrorist attack by the Palestine Liberation Organization against the Savoy Hotel in Tel Aviv, Israel, on 4–5 March 1975. Background The operation was planned by Abu Jihad. Initial Palestinian planning had called for an attack against the Israeli tourist city of Nahariya, yet the team was apparently unable to locate the city on the night of a previous attempt, two months earlier. The operation's objectives were then changed to the Manshiya Neighborhood Youth Club and the Tel Aviv Opera Building. The contingency plan in case the original targets could not be located was to select any nearby buildings that were populated as targets.
