Autonomies
Autonomies ( he, אוטונומיות) is an Israeli dystopian drama miniseries created by Ori Elon and Yehonatan Indursky. The story is set in an alternate reality of present day Israel, a nation torn and divided by a wall into the secular “State of Israel”, with Tel Aviv as its capital, and the “Haredi Autonomy” in Jerusalem, run by an ultra-Orthodox religious group. The series stars Assi Cohen, Rotem Sela and Shuli Rand. Keshet received its Israeli premiere on Hot 3 on 6 September 2018. The series received its world premiere on 1 May 2018 at the Festival Séries Mania in France. The series was also the centrepiece of the New York Jewish Film Festival in January 2019. Rotem Sela ( he, רותם סלע) is an Israeli model, actress and television presenter best-known for playing Noa Hollander on the hit TV-show ''Beauty and the Baker'' (2013–2021). Early life Sela was born in Kiryat Haim, Israel, to Jewish parents. Shtisel
''Shtisel'' () is an Israeli television drama series about a fictional Haredi ("ultra-Orthodox" Jewish) family living in Geula, Jerusalem. Created and written by Ori Elon and Yehonatan Indursky, the series premiered on 29 June 2013 on yes Oh. It commenced distribution via the online streaming service Netflix in 2018. The first two seasons have 12 episodes per season, and the third season has 9 episodes. In May 2019, the show was renewed for a third season, though filming was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A trailer was released in September, revealing that Season 3 is set seven years after the death of Akiva's mother (six years after the events of the first episode). Ori Elon ( he, אורי אלון; born 1981) is an Israeli writer and filmmaker. Early life Elon was born in kibbutz Shluhot, Israel, and had an Orthodox Jewish upbringing. He graduated from the Ma'aleh School of Television, Film and the Arts in Jerusalem. Career Elon is the co-creator and writer (with Yehonatan Indursky) of the television drama series ''Shtisel'' (in Hebrew שטיסל), initially broadcast on satellite television station Yes Oh, and later picked up by Netflix.
