Dan Spătaru
Dan George Spătaru (; 2 October 1939, Aliman, Constanța County – 8 September 2004, Bucharest) was a Romanian singer, best known for the songs "Drumurile" ("The roads", 1984), "Să cântăm,chitara mea!" ("Let's sing, my guitar", 1970), and "Măicuță,îți mulțumesc" ("Dear Mother, thank you", 1987). Life and career Spătaru was born on 2 October 1939, in a family of teachers, Gherghina and Aurel Spătaru. He spent his childhood in Aliman, his hometown, in Ion Corvin and in Medgidia, with his elder sister Puica (Maria Nicola) and his grandparents, farmers. Horses were the first passion as a child, later another passion emerged, much stronger, that of football. Spătaru grew up among his grandparents' stories and songs played by his parents. When he was 12, his mother died, and the two children moved to Medgidia with an aunt to fulfill the mother's wish that her children go to school. Aliman, Constanța
Aliman () is a commune in Constanța County, Northern Dobruja, Romania. It includes four villages: * Aliman * Dunăreni (historical name: ''Mârleanu'' or ''Mîrleanu'' until 1968) * Floriile (historical name: ''Bac Cuius'', tr, Bakkuyusu) * Vlahii (historical name: ''Vlahchioi'') The territory of the commune also includes the former village of ''Adâncata'' (historical name: ''Polucci''), at , disestablished by Presidential Decree in 1977. Electrecord
Electrecord is a Romanian record label which was founded in 1932. It was subsequently transformed into the national recording company following the socialist doctrine of centralization and was the only record label in Communist Romania. History Communist times To avoid disc importing from Western Europe and the U.S., Electrecord was often demanded to release copies of some of the discs released abroad (just as recording companies in U.S.S.R. were doing themselves). Even today it is the subject of many anecdotes complaining about the bad quality of Romanian discs; a comparison between an import and a local copy would be the most eloquent proof. Electrecord had to balance the government's demands with those of listeners and musicians. Șerban Vodă Cemetery (commonly known as Bellu Cemetery) is the largest and most famous cemetery in Bucharest, Romania. Temistocle Popa
Themistocles Popa (; 27 June 1921 – 26 November 2013) was a Romanian composer, musician, and film actor. Life Temistocle Popa studied flute, harp, and saxophone at the National University of Music Bucharest. He then worked with musicians such as and Ion Dacian, and was close friends with the popular Romanian singer Maria Tănase. Beginning in the early 1960s, he wrote music for many Romanian films. He was married to actress Cornelia Teodosiu, and resided with her in Bucharest. After the Romanian Revolution of 1989 Popa lost almost his entire fortune due to nationalization of assets. In 2004 he received the Romanian National Order Legal Service, attaining the rank of Knight. Popa died in 2013 and was buried at Ghencea Military Cemetery in Bucharest. Romanian Kingdom

FC Sportul Studențesc, commonly referred to as Sportul is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest, that last played at senior level in the Liga IV. Founded in 1916, Sportul Studențesc was one of the oldest Romanian clubs still active. The club's best European performance came in the 1979–80 Balkans Cup, when it won the trophy, defeating Yugoslavian side NK Rijeka in the final. The club made it to the Balkans Cup final on one other occasion, in 1976, when it lost to another Yugoslavian side, Dinamo Zagreb.
