Damita Chandler (born Damita Dawn Bass on September 4, 1971) is an American gospel singer. Biography Damita was born as Damita Dawn Bass on September 4, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan. Damita has an identical twin sister Marguerita Bass. Damita's musical influences came from both her father and mother. Damita and her sister formed a female acappella group called Adoration N Prayze in the early 1990s. Damita and her group were asked to sign their first record deal with the gospel record label TM Records, run by Tim Harris and Tanya Harris out of Indianapolis, Indiana. In 1991, Damita released her first record and made her entrance into the gospel industry professionally with her group Adoration N Prayze. The record, entitled "Time Is Running Out", was produced by long time friend Aaron Lindsay and Arif Martin. The album went on to receive multiple Stellar Awards nominations. The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. With five number-one singles and six number-one albums, six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s in North America. Jim Ed Norman is an American musician, multi-platinum record producer, arranger and label-head. As an arranger and producer, he was one of the principal architects of the distinctive sound of West Coast 1970s pop and country rock. He was President of Warner Bros Records Nashville from 1984 to 2004. Early career Having grown up in Florida, Norman pursued music at North Texas State University where he met Don Henley and joined his group, Felicity, in 1969, playing keyboards and guitar. Tyscot Records is an independent American gospel music record label based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tyscot Records was founded by Craig Tyson and Leonard Scott (musician), Dr. Leonard Scott in 1976 in to record their church choir, Christ Church Apostolic Radio Choir. It now stands as the oldest black-owned Gospel recording label in the nation. Dr. Scott and Tyson established Tyscot Records as a recording vehicle for a local church choir project. Leonard Scott operated Tyscot from offices in his dental practice. The company faced hard financial times in the beginning phases and sometime later Craig Tyson decided to relinquish his share in the company.
