Tyscot Records
Tyscot Records is an independent American gospel music record label based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tyscot Records was founded by Craig Tyson and Leonard Scott (musician), Dr. Leonard Scott in 1976 in to record their church choir, Christ Church Apostolic Radio Choir. It now stands as the oldest black-owned Gospel recording label in the nation. Dr. Scott and Tyson established Tyscot Records as a recording vehicle for a local church choir project. Leonard Scott operated Tyscot from offices in his dental practice. The company faced hard financial times in the beginning phases and sometime later Craig Tyson decided to relinquish his share in the company. In the 1980s the label gained momentum by signing artists such as the Rev. Bill Sawyer and the Christian Tabernacle Choir, and Robert Turner and the Silver Hearts. Cedric Ford
Minister Cedric LeVance Ford (born September 28, 1968) is an American gospel musician and leader of Worship Unlimited, currently based out of Houston, Texas because he is the music minister at Reflections of Christ Church. His first album, ''Featuring Visions: A Choral Ministry'', was released by Muscle Shoals Records in 2000, and produced by Dorothy Norwood. He released, ''Created 2 Worship'', with Tyscot Records in 2009, and this was a ''Billboard'' magazine breakthrough release upon the Gospel Albums chart at number 34. He was nominated for a NAACP Theatre Award for his role in ''The Fabric of a Man'' by David E. Talbert. Carmelo Domenic Licciardello (January 19, 1956 – February 16, 2021), known by his stage name Carman, was an American contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, television host and evangelist. He was nominated for four Grammys, and sold over 10 million records. Carman's album '' Mission 3:16'' (1998) peaked at number 94 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. Contemporary Christian music, also known as CCM, Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. Lucinda Moore (''née'', Simmons) is an American urban contemporary gospel, traditional black gospel, and gospel music recording artist and musician. She started her music career in 1989, and her first studio album, ''Lucinda Moore'', was released by Tyscot Records in 2006. Javen P. Campbell (born July 17, 1971), who goes by the stage name JAVEN, is an American gospel musician and Christian R&B recording artist. His music career started in 2002, with the release, ''Javen'', by Crowne Music Group. He would release two more albums, 2006's ''Believer'' with JCM Records, and 2008's ''Keeping the Faith'' with Melrose Records, yet these failed to place on any charts.
