Daina Gudzinevičiūtė
Daina Gudzinevičiūtė (born 23 December 1965, in Vilnius) is an Olympic shooting champion from Lithuania and president of National Olympic Committee, member of the International Olympic Committee. Shooting Trap shooting for women was first introduced in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Gudzinevičiūtė scored 71 hits in the qualifying round and then hit 22 out of 25 targets in the final. This was one more than Delphine Racinet's score. As the event was held in the Olympic Games for the first time, Gudzinevičiūtė also set an Olympic record. It was a very unexpected victory for Lithuania and their first medal at Sydney. After the Sydney success it was expected that Gudzinevičiūtė would perform well in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but she scored only 55 hits and landed on the 14th place among 17 contestants. Virgilijus Alekna (; 13 February 1972) is a Lithuanian former discus thrower and politician. He won medals at the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympics, including two golds. After retiring from athletics, Alekna was elected to the national parliament, the Seimas, in 2016. He has 3 children - Martynas Alekna, Mykolas Alekna and Gabrielė Aleknaite. Double Trap
Double trap is a shotgun shooting sport, one of the ISSF shooting events. Participants use a shotgun to attempt to break a clay disk flung away from the shooter at high speed. The layout of double trap shooting is similar to that of trap shooting. The shooter stands 16 yards behind the house that releases the targets. Two targets are released simultaneously from the house. They follow set paths, usually 35 degrees to left and right of straightaway. The shooter can take one shot at each target.
