D416 Road
D416 branches off to the south from the D414 (Croatia), D414 near Ston towards Prapratno ferry port - providing ferry access to Sobra on island of Mljet and the D123 (Croatia), D123 state road. The road is long. The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, state owned company. Traffic volume Traffic is not regularly counted on the road, however, Hrvatske ceste report number of vehicles using Prapratno-Sobra ferry line, connecting D416 to the D123 (Croatia), D123 state road. Furthermore, the D416 road carries some local traffic on Pelješac peninsula itself, which does use the ferry at all, substantially exceeding the ferried traffic. Substantial variations between annual (AADT) and summer (ASDT) traffic volumes are attributed to the fact that the road connects to a number of summer resorts. Hrvatske ceste (lit. ''Croatian roads'') is a Croatian state-owned company pursuant to provisions of the Croatian Public Roads Act ( hr, Zakon o javnim cestama enacted by the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia. Trpanj
Trpanj ( it, Trappano), is a municipality of Dubrovnik-Neretva County in south-eastern Croatia. According to the 2001 census, Trpanj has a population of 871. Croats make up 93.11% of the population. History Etymology There is more than one theory about the origin of the name Trpanj. According to one, the name was derived from the Croatian verb ''trpjeti'', meaning "to suffer." Orebić
Orebić ( it, Sabbioncello) is a port town and municipality in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county in Croatia. It is located on the Pelješac peninsula on the Dalmatian coast. Orebić is directly across a strait from the town of Korčula, located on the island of the same name. Ferries service the two towns frequently. Orebić is from Dubrovnik. Pelješac
Pelješac (; Chakavian: ; it, Sabbioncello) is a peninsula in southern Dalmatia in Croatia. The peninsula is part of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and is the second largest peninsula in Croatia.
