Džamba
Iso Lero, known as Džamba, was a Yugoslavian gangster based in Belgrade, Serbia. He was called "the Don of Dorćol". He disappeared on 23 September 1992, after having received a beating from several members of the Arkan's Tigers paramilitary, near the Beograđanka building. Early life Džamba was born in an ethnic Romani family in 1953. He grew up on Dobračina Street in the Belgrade neighborhood of Dorćol where his family shared a yard with Džamba's maternal cousin, singer Džej Ramadanovski. Career in crime He began his criminal career in his youth. He was jailed at the Central Prison in 1976 for purse snatching and fighting at a bus station in Belgrade. While in prison, Džamba memorized the Criminal Code and offered legal advice to other inmates. In prison, he was often and badly beaten up by the Central Prison guards due to his rebellious nature. Romani people, or Roma ( sr, Роми, Romi), are the third largest ethnic group in Serbia, numbering 147,604 (2.1%) according to the 2011 census. Džej Ramadanovski
Džej Ramadanovski (; 29 May 1964 – 6 December 2020) was a Serbian singer of folk, turbo-folk and pop-folk music. He started his career in 1987 and released a series of albums during 1990s, but retired from recording due to ill health in the early 2000s. In the period from 1988 to 2003, he released 13 albums, with a handful of singles after that. He continued to perform and had previously toured internationally. He died on 6 December 2020 in Belgrade, at the age of 56, due to cardiac arrest. Life and career Džej Ramadanovski was born on 29 May 1964 into a Muslim Roma working-class family. His father Mazlam was a shoemaker and mother Barija. His paternal grandfather moved to Belgrade after World War II.
