Dúo Dinámico
Dúo Dinámico (''Dynamic Duo'' in English) is a Spanish musical duo, which was very popular in Spain in the 1960s. It is formed by Manuel de la Calva and Ramón Arcusa, singers, songwriters, record producers and actors. They were the main precursors of pop music in Spain. Career Manolo and Ramón met when they were 16 years old, working as aeronautical engineering apprentices. The duo officially formed on 28 December 1958 in Barcelona. Their first performance before a live audience was on Radio Barcelona; they wanted to be called ''The Dynamic Boys'', but the show host, Enrique Fernández, said he did not speak English and introduced them as ''Dúo Dinámico'', a name the musicians accepted. After that came more radio performances and a contract to sing at La Masía, a famous restaurant in Barcelona, all while they still worked as engineers. María de los Ángeles Felisa Santamaría Espinosa (born 2 August 1947), professionally known as Massiel, is a Spanish pop singer. She won the Eurovision Song Contest 1968 with the song "La, la, la", beating the British pop singer Cliff Richard's "Congratulations". "Resistiré" (English: "I Will Resist") is a song by the Spanish group Dúo Dinámico (Dynamic Duo in English), which appeared on their 1988 album ''En forma'', the second one released by the duo after their reappearance two years before with the album ''Dúo Dinámico'', the first one they recorded for Sony. José Vélez
José Velázquez Jiménez (born 15 November 1951 in Telde, Gran Canaria), better known by his stage name José Vélez (), is a Spanish singer. In the late 1960s, a music teacher from the Organización Juvenil Española (Spanish Youth Organisation) had the idea to create the music group Grupo Marabilla with some of his students, among them José Velázquez. When the group was dissolved, he began his solo career. José Miguel Gallardo Vera known by his stage name Miguel Gallardo (September 29, 1950 – November 11, 2005) was a Spanish singer-songwriter. He was once married to the Spanish actress Pilar Velázquez. Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis (3 August 1944 – 16 April 1973), better known by his stage name Nino Bravo, was a Spanish baroque pop and ballad singer. Early life Ferri Llopis was born in Aielo de Malferit (Valencia), Spain. His father, Luis Manuel, a salesman, moved the family to Valencia, in search of better opportunities, when his son was three years old.
