Mohsen Chavoshi Hosseini ( fa, محسن چاوشی, ku, موحسن چاوشی; born 30 July 1979) is an Iranian Kurdish musician, singer, record producer and songwriter, based in Tehran. He has released ten albums including a soundtrack to the 2007 film ''Santouri''. Early life Chavoshi was born in Khorramshahr, Iran to a Kurdish family from Kurdistan province. His family migrated to Mashhad, where he also completed his education. Career Chavoshi began his music career after he finished school and military service. His 2008 album ''Ye Shakhe Niloufar'' (a lotus sprout) received permission to be released legally. "Desirée" is a 1977 song written and recorded by Neil Diamond and included as a track on Diamond's 1977 album, ''I'm Glad You're Here with Me Tonight''. The single peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and reached number one on the U.S. Adult Contemporary (chart), Easy Listening chart to become his fifth number one on that chart. The song likewise reached number one on the Canadian AC chart. ''Cash Box'' said that it has an "infectious intro on the grand piano" and that Diamond is "at the top of his form." The Charts (American Group)
The Charts were an American doo-wop group of the 1950s, most famous for their recording "Deserie". The group formed as The Thrilltones in Harlem, New York in 1956, and comprised teenagers Joe Grier (lead), Stephen Brown (first tenor), Glenmore Jackson (second tenor), Leroy Binns (baritone), and Ross Buford (bass). They acquired a manager, Les Cooper, who had previously been a member of various R&B groups, and who changed their name to The Charts. They were signed to the Everlast label, owned by Bobby Robinson's brother Danny, who released their first single "Deserie" in May 1957. The song's authorship was credited to Cooper and Johnson, although singer Joe Grier later claimed that he had written the song along with the group's other material. The record was No. 3 on the national R&B charts, and was later featured on many compilations of doo-wop classics.
