Dzinara Alimbekava
Dinara Talhatauna Alimbekava ( kk, Динара Талғатқызы Әлімбекова, Dinara Talğatkyzy Älimbekova born 5 January 1996) is a Kazakhstan-born Belarusian biathlete. She won a gold medal in the 4×6 km relay at the 2018 Olympics. Alimbekava won her first IBU World Cup competition (a sprint) in Hochfilzen, Austria, in December 2020, and finished as the Under-25 Cup leader for the 2020-21 World Cup season. Alimbekava was born in Kazakhstan to a Kazakh father and a Belarusian mother. When she was three years old, her family moved to Belarus, where her younger brother Zhenya was born. Biathlon World Championships 2020
The Biathlon World Championships 2020 took place in Rasen-Antholz, Italy, from 12 to 23 February 2020. Host selection On 4 September 2016, Antholz-Anterselva won the voting (30 votes) during the twelfth IBU Congress in Chișinău over Pokljuka (15 votes) and Oberhof, Germany (four votes). Rasen-Antholz (; it, Rasun-Anterselva ) is a municipality in South Tyrol in northern Italy. Geography The municipal area stretches along the Antholz valley, a northern side valley of the larger Puster Valley. In the northeast, the Staller Saddle mountain pass, at a height of leads into the Defereggen Valley in East Tyrol, Austria. Oberhof, Germany
Oberhof is a town in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district of Thuringia, Germany. Located in the Thuringian Forest mountain range, it is a winter sports center and health resort. With 1,625 inhabitants (December 2016), it is visited by 144,000 tourists every year (2016). The town obtained its official city status in 1985. 2021–22 Biathlon World Cup
The 2021–22 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season started on 27 November 2021 in Östersund, Sweden and ended on 20 March 2022 in Oslo Holmenkollen, Norway. Norwegians Johannes Thingnes Bø and Tiril Eckhoff were the defending overall champions from the 2020–21 season. For the first time in the history of the Biathlon World Cup, the competition will be held in Estonia, specifically in Otepää. Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian and Belarusian biathletes are only allowed to compete under a neutral flag since the competition in Kontiolahti. Their performances are not included in the previous classifications of their countries. Previously, the Ukrainian national team announced the withdrawal from the biathlon competition by the end of the season.
