Działoszyn
Działoszyn is a town in Pajęczno County, Łódź Voivodeship, in south-central Poland, with 5,627 inhabitants as of December 2021. History Działoszyn was granted town rights in 1421. During the German invasion of Poland at the beginning of World War II, Działoszyn was the site of heavy fights between the Poles and the Germans. The town was heavily bombed by the Germans, and most of its Jews fled to nearby Paincheno, where they were employed in forced labor. Eventually, the town's Jews were murdered by the occupiers in the Holocaust. The German occupiers, renamed the town to ''Dilltal''. In 1945, the German occupation ended, and the town's historic name was restored. Sports The local football club is Warta Działoszyn. It competes in the lower leagues. It was the first club of retired Poland national football team player Robert Warzycha. __NOTOC__ Gmina Działoszyn is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Pajęczno County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. Its seat is the town of Działoszyn, which lies approximately west of Pajęczno and south-west of the regional capital Łódź. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2006 its total population is 12,908 (out of which the population of Działoszyn amounts to 6,276, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 6,632). Pajęczno County
__NOTOC__ Pajęczno County ( pl, powiat pajęczański) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Łódź Voivodeship, central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Pajęczno, which lies south-west of the regional capital Łódź. The only other town in the county is Działoszyn, lying west of Pajęczno. The county covers an area of . As of 2006 its total population is 53,395, out of which the population of Pajęczno is 6,674, that of Działoszyn is 6,276, and the rural population is 40,445. Łódź Voivodeship (also known as Lodz Province, or by its Polish name ''Województwo łódzkie'' ) is a province-voivodeship in central Poland. Robert Warzycha
Robert Warzycha () (born 20 August 1963) is a Polish former professional association football player. Warzycha had a long career in Europe, playing for teams in Poland, Hungary and England with Everton in the Premier League. He won two Polish Ekstraklasa titles and a Polish Super Cup with Górnik Zabrze. Warzycha was also a regular member of the Poland national football team throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, amassing 47 caps. He moved to the United States in 1996 and subsequently spent seven seasons in Major League Soccer with Columbus Crew. He later served as a coach for the team, serving as head coach for five seasons.
