Dzhabar Askerov ( lez, Аскеров Жаббар Мегьамедан хва) (russian: Джабар Аскеров; born January 24, 1986) is a Russian Welterweight kickboxer fighting out of Melbourne, Australia and representing Russia. He is the World Muay Thai Council's Muay Thai Welterweight European Champion and K-1 MAX Scandinavia 2008 Tournament Finalist. Background Askerov was born in Kurah, Dagestan in an ethnic Lezgin family. When he was six years old, he went to school in Magaramkent and his father took him to a judo gym where he trained for two years. When Askerov was nine years old, his family moved to Derbent. It was his father again who took Askerov to a Muay Thai gym where he fell in love with the sport. The Contender Asia
''The Contender Asia'' (known as The Contender: Kickboxer in the United Kingdom, and The Contender: Muay Thai in the United States) was a reality-based television series that follows 16 Muay Thai middleweight fighters from 12 countries as they compete in a series of outdoor challenges and sanctioned matches. The series is a deviation from the original Contender series, which involved boxing. The winner received US$150,000 and bragging rights as "The Contender Champion". The program was hosted by Vice President of World Muay Thai Council and former World Champion Stephen Fox (who also serves as the show's main trainer) and Jaymee Ong. The second season has been announced on its official website. Michalis "Iron Mike" Zambidis ( Greek: Μιχάλης Ζαμπίδης; born 15 July 1980) is a professional Greek kickboxer and martial artist. He is an 18-time World Champion, including former World version W5, SUPERKOMBAT and in a series of K-1 Tournaments and Grand Prix Grand Prix Champion. He mostly competed in the K-1 MAX. Biography and career Mike Zambidis started training in martial arts before he was nine years old with his brother Spiros Zambidis and his best friend Lazaros Filipas. Enriko Kehl
Enriko Kehl (born February 19, 1992), is a German Muay Thai kickboxer who competes in ONE Championship. He is the 2014 K-1 World Max Championship Tournament Champion. Kehl was voted German Kickboxer of the Year in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Career Early career After turning professional, Kehl's first prestigious match was in on December 5, 2009 in Bangkok, against Fadi Merza in the quarterfinals of the WMC King's Cup, which he lost. Following this, he fought with another kickboxing veteran, Murat Direkçi, but lost again, on October 10, 2010 in Darmstadt, in Germany. Steve Moxon (born 9 November 1987) is an Australian kickboxer who competes in the middleweight and super middleweight divisions. Steve Moxon is a 2 x World Champion. Known for his speed and knockout power, Moxon captured the ISKA South Pacific Middleweight (−75 kg/165 lb) Championship early in his career before taking the WKF World Middleweight title from Expedito Valin in 2012. Warren "Chaka Zulu" Stevelmans (born 16 May 1983) is a South African kickboxer, fighting out of Vos Gym in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He is the K-1 MAX Netherlands 2008 tournament champion. Biography and career Despite being born in South Africa, Stevelmans has spent the bulk of his career fighting in the Netherlands. He began his career at C-Class level in 2001 and through 2001 to 2005 won a number of C and B-Class fights, culminating in winning his A-Class debut against Arian Vatniki in Maastricht, Netherlands. Stevelmans lost his next fight against Chris Ngimbi but then went on a winning streak throughout the rest of 2006 and in to the later stages of 2007 where he won his first title, defeating William Diender to claim the N.K.B.B. national title at 70 kg. Albert Kraus
Albert “The Hurricane” Kraus (born August 3, 1980) is a Dutch welterweight kickboxer. He was the first K-1 World MAX Tournament Champion in 2002 and also the first SUPERKOMBAT Middleweight Champion. Kraus has also held four separate world titles in kickboxing and Muay Thai. He is currently fighting out of Super Pro Gym.
