Albert Dyment
Albert Edward Dyment (February 23, 1869 – May 12, 1944) was a Canadian politician and businessman. Born at Lynden, County of Wentworth, Ontario, the son of Nathaniel Dyment, of English descent, and Annie McRae, of Scottish origin, he was educated at Barrie Collegiate Institute and at Upper Canada College. Dyment was a prosperous manufacturer and dealer in lumber, based in Thessalon, Ontario. He was elected for Algoma to the House of Commons in 1896 and in 1900 and for Algoma East in 1904 as a Liberal. He was Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the 97th Regiment in 1907. In 1892, he married Edith Francis Chapman. He served on the town council for Barrie in 1892. In 1906, he sold his business and became a stockbroker in Toronto Toronto ( ; or ) is the capital city of the Canadian province of Ontario. Clifford Dyment
Clifford Henry Dyment FRSL (20 January 1914 – 5 June 1971) was a British poet, literary critic, editor and journalist, best known for his poems on countryside topics. Born to Welsh parents, his mother was widowed when Dyment was four years old.Peter Dale"Dyment, Clifford" in ''The Oxford Companion to Twentieth-Century Poetry in English,''Ian Hamilton (ed.), Oxford Univ. Press, 1994, p. 142. . Born in Alfreton, Derbyshire, he spent his early childhood in Caerleon-on-Usk but was educated at Loughborough Grammar School in Leicestershire. His poem "The Son" was occasioned by his discovery of a letter written by his conscripted father prior to his death in World War I. Dyment Falls
The city of Hamilton, Ontario, Hamilton in Ontario, Canada is home to more than 100 waterfalls and cascades, most of which are on or near the Bruce Trail as it winds through the Niagara Escarpment. Ontario's internationally recognized Niagara Escarpment provides perfect geological conditions for waterfalls to occur, from Tobermory, Ontario, Tobermory to Niagara Falls. With its crest, Webster's Falls is the largest waterfall within the city. Tew's Falls is a ribbon waterfall, and is the tallest waterfall found in Hamilton. Both Webster's and Tew's are located at the Spencer Gorge / Webster's Falls Conservation Area. Albion Falls was once seriously considered as a possible source of water for Hamilton. Rocks from the Albion Falls area were used in the construction of the Royal Botanical Gardens, (Ontario), Royal Botanical Gardens' Rock Garden. Cranton Bay is a bay about long and wide, lying south of the Canisteo Peninsula at the eastern end of the Amundsen Sea. The southern limit of the bay is formed by the Backer Islands and an ice shelf which separates this bay from Pine Island Bay.
