Dylan Mares (born February 11, 1992) is an American professional association football, soccer player who plays as an midfielder, attacking midfielder for Louisville City FC, Louisville City in the USL Championship. Career Early career From Zionsville, Indiana, Zionsville, Indiana, played youth soccer with the Indiana Fire Academy from 2008 to 2010. Mares and A. J. Corrado led Zionsville Community High School to a 2009 Indiana High School Athletic Association, IHSAA state championship in soccer. He then started his collegiate career at the University of Louisville where he played college soccer for the Louisville Cardinals from 2010 to 2012. Despite missing the entire 2011 season due to a knee injury, Mares still managed to rank up 15 goals in his two seasons for the Cardinals. The Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) is the arbiter of interscholastic competition among public and private high schools in the U.S. state of Indiana. It monitors a system that divides athletically-competing high schools in Indiana based on the school's enrollment. The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams.
