Dylan Donkin
Dylan Donkin is an American rock musician. Career 2000–2005: Echobrain Echobrain first formed in 2000. Before this, Donkin first met Jason Newsted and a few friends at Newsted's residence. On a road trip to Mexico's Baja California peninsula, Donkin and Brian Sagrafena recorded some rough demos that, when they came home, eventually caught Newsted's attention, who then offered to help out on bass guitar and assist the songwriting. In May 2000, they entered a studio to record the demos more professionally, with help from several musicians including Newsted's then-colleague and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, and former Faith No More guitarist Jim Martin. The band broke up in 2005 after releasing two albums and one EP. 2005–present: solo career Donkin released a 7" vinyl single, ''Make a Choice'', in September 2006. Folk Rock
Folk rock is a hybrid music genre that combines the elements of folk and rock music, which arose in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom in the mid-1960s. In the U.S., folk rock emerged from the folk music revival. Faith No More
Faith No More is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1979. Before settling on the current name in July 1983, the band performed under the names Sharp Young Men and later Faith No Man. Bassist Billy Gould, keyboardist/rhythm guitarist Roddy Bottum and drummer Mike Bordin are the longest-remaining members of the band, having been involved since its inception. The band underwent several early lineup changes, and some major changes later. The current lineup of Faith No More consists of Gould, Bordin, Bottum, lead guitarist Jon Hudson, and vocalist/lyricist Mike Patton. ''Glean'' is the seventeenth studio album from New York City-based alternative rock band They Might Be Giants, released on April 21, 2015. It is composed entirely of releases from the first four months of the band's 2015 Dial-A-Song project. Background In late 2014, the band began advertising the relaunch of their Dial-A-Song service, which had its origins in the early 1980s when the band would record songs onto an answering machine and advertise the phone number. The service was eventually discontinued in 2006, but the band sought to restart it online. A modified version of the original phone number was reclaimed as well, and both outlets were updated every Tuesday with a new recording starting in December 2014. Echobrain was an American rock/metal musical group formed in 2000, prominent for featuring bass guitarist Jason Newsted after his departure from Metallica. They released three albums and disbanded in 2005. History Echobrain was formed in 2000 by Newsted, drummer Brian Sagrafena and singer/guitarist Dylan Donkin, who had close contact with one another throughout the late-1990s after they met at a Super Bowl party at Newsted's home in 1995. Jim Martin (musician)
James Blanco Martin (born July 21, 1961, in Hayward, California), known professionally as "Big" Jim Martin, is an American guitarist best known for his membership in the rock band Faith No More from 1983 to late 1993. He also played guitar with the groups EZ-Street, Vicious Hatred, Agents of Misfortune, Recluse, and Pigs of Death. Martin was known for his long hair, bushy beard, and trademark red-rimmed glasses that he wears alone or over another darker pair of glasses. Kirk Lee Hammett (born November 18, 1962) is an American musician who has been the lead guitarist and a contributing songwriter for heavy metal band Metallica since 1983. Before joining Metallica, he formed and named the band Exodus. In 2003, Hammett was ranked 11th on ''Rolling Stone'''s list of The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.
