Gene Damschroder
Eugene E. "Gene" Damschroder (January 14, 1922 – June 8, 2008) was an American politician and aviator. He was member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1973 to 1983. He was a member of the Republican Party. Damschroder flew seaplanes for the U.S. Navy during World War II. Damschroder was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1972, representing Fremont in the 85th District from 1973 to 1983. Damschroder tried to regain his seat, now the 81st District, in Republican primary elections in 2002 and 2008. Rex Damschroder (born June 4, 1950) is a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He was in office from 1995 to 2002 and again from 2011 to 2014. Damschroder is a Republican Party (United States), Republican. Career Damschroder has owned several small business throughout the community, and is a licensed realtor. He has served on Fremont, Ohio, Fremont City Council and at Terra Community College on the board of trustees. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and Tiffin University. Damschroder is the son of Gene Damschroder, who held the same House seat from 1973 to 1983. The Ohio House of Representatives is the lower house of the Ohio General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Ohio; the other house of the bicameral legislature being the Ohio Senate. The House of Representatives first met in Chillicothe on March 3, 1803, under the later superseded state constitution of that year. In 1816, the capital was moved to Columbus, where it is located today. Members are limited to four successive two-year elected terms (terms are considered successive if they are separated by less than four years).
