''Duyung'' (translation: ''Mermaid'') is a Malaysian fantasy comedy film that was released on 6 March 2008. The film is directed by Abdul Razak Mohaideen and produced by KRU Films (now known as KRU Studios) in association with Grand Brilliance and Line Clear Motion Pictures. It stars Saiful Apek as a kind-hearted man who encounters a mermaid, portrayed by Maya Karin. Professor Dato' Dr. A. Razak Mohaideen (born 22 January 1965) is a Malaysian film director. He has directed around 40 titles since 1996. Early life He was born in Pulau Pinang on 22 January 1965.
