Henry Dunning Moore (April 13, 1817 – August 11, 1887) was a Whig member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. Early life Henry D. Moore was born in Goshen, New York. He moved with his parents to New York City in 1828. He attended the public schools and engaged in the tailoring business. He moved to Philadelphia in 1844 and engaged in the mahogany and marble business. Political career Moore was elected as a Whig to the Thirty-first and Thirty-second Congresses. He was not a candidate for reelection in 1852. He was an unsuccessful candidate for mayor of Philadelphia in 1856. He was a delegate to the 1860 Republican National Convention. He was elected State treasurer during Governor Curtin's administration and served from 1861 to 1863 and 1864 to 1865. He was appointed collector of the port of Philadelphia on March 30, 1869, and served until March 26, 1871, when he resigned. Steven John Dunning (born May 15, 1949) is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a right-handed pitcher between and for the Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, California Angels, Montreal Expos and the Oakland Athletics. Dunning was the 1st round draft choice by the Cleveland Indians in the 1970 Major League Baseball Draft. Baseball career Dunning was born in Denver, Colorado. He was the second player to go straight to the Major Leagues after being drafted without spending a day in the minors. On May 11, 1971, Dunning had the distinction of hitting a grand slam home run off of Oakland Athletics pitcher Diego Seguí. Philo Dunning (March 23, 1819 – September 10, 1900) was an American merchant and druggist from Madison, Wisconsin, who held a number of local office, spent a single one-year term as a Reform Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from Dane County, and served on the state fisheries commission. Background Dunning was born in Webster, New York, on March 23, 1819. He had a common school education, and became a merchant and druggist by trade. He arrived in Wisconsin Territory in 1840, and settled in Dane County, first in Blooming Grove, where he farmed, and later moved into downtown Madison, reportedly because "the railroad built its tracks across their front yard." Nick Dunning (born 1957 in London) is an English actor. He is a well known theatre actor who attended RADA (Dip Hons) 1977, where he won the Ronson Prize for Most Promising Young Actor. He has appeared on stage in the West End in London and at the Gate Theatre in Dublin. He has won two Irish Times Theatre Awards. Matt Dunning (born 19 December 1978) is a former Australian rugby union footballer. He played as a prop for the Waratahs and Western Force in Super Rugby, and represented Australia. He coached the Balmain rugby club in Sydney 2013/2014. Early life Dunning was born in Calgary, Canada, but grew up in Sydney, Australia. He was educated at Northholm Grammar School. Jeanne Dunning (born 1960) is an American photographer whose work is centered around corporeality and human physicality in abstract forms. Education and early career Dunning earned her Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College and her Masters of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. From there, she opened her first exhibit at the Feature Gallery in Chicago in 1987. In the early 1990s, Dunning created a series of photographs for an exhibit titled "Directions" which was meant to blur the lines of fact and fiction. Jake Austin Dunning (born August 12, 1988) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played for the San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball (MLB).
