Dundarave Golf Course
Dundarave Golf Course is a public golf course located in Brudenell, Prince Edward Island. The red sandstone based course was designed by two architects, Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, and opened July 15, 1999. Dundarave has hosted golfers Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson during the 2006 Making the Connection - Legends of Golf event. Dunadrave Golf Course shares the practice grounds and clubhouse with its sister course Brudenell River Golf Course. History Dundarave Golf Course opened on July 15, 1999 after being delayed for about a month. The delay in opening of the course was a result of the dry weather which caused the grass to grow slower than expected. Brudenell, Prince Edward Island
Brudenell ( ) was a municipality that held community status in Prince Edward Island, Canada. It was located along the Brudenell and Montague rivers. Brudenell Point, located at the confluence of the two rivers, was the site of the Jean Pierre Roma Acadian settlement in the 18th century, the first here by French colonists.. This small portion of Brudenell is now a National Historic Site of Canada called Roma Three Rivers. This French settlement built several significant roads on the island (which they called Isle St. Jean). These are still used today. Michael John Hurdzan
Michael John Hurdzan (born September 11, 1943) is an American golf course architect, author, and a retired United States Army Colonel, who served with the United States Army Special Forces (Green Berets). He is a member and past president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), who is noted for designing and renovating many golf courses and clubs, including U.S. Open golf courses. Hurdzan is a recipient of the Old Tom Morris Award, the Donald Ross Award and the Don A. Rossi Award, the "triple crown" of his profession and an honor he shares only with Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Byron Nelson, Robert Trent Jones Sr., Rees Jones and, as of 2015, Pete Dye. Thomas Sturges Watson (born September 4, 1949) is an American retired professional golfer on the PGA Tour Champions, formerly on the PGA Tour. Brudenell River Golf Course is a public golf course located in Brudenell, Prince Edward Island. The course is an eighteen-hole course built by the provincial government of Prince Edward Island was originally opened in 1969. The course gets its name from the Brudenell River, which is part of The Three Rivers, as several of the courses holes lie along the river. Jason Zuback (born 24 April 1970), is a Canadian golfer who competed as a professional long drive athlete. David Feherty
David William Feherty (born 13 August 1958) is a former professional golfer and current golf broadcaster. As a touring professional he won five European Tour events, competed at the Open Championship twice ( 1989 and 1994), and played on Europe's 1991 Ryder Cup team.
