Duncan Selby Hutcheon
Duncan Selby Hutcheon (February 16, 1879 – January 11, 1954) was a Canadian provincial politician. Early life and career He was born in Alton, Ontario to David Wilton and May (McPhedion) Hutcheon. David Wilton Hutcheon was treasurer of Haultain, Ontario. In 1902, Duncan moved to Pense, Saskatchewan where he farmed for a year before settling in Davidson, Saskatchewan to homestead. However, in 1905 he rented his farm and moved into Davidson. In Davidson, he opened and operated the first Wells Land & Cattle Company elevator, which he operated for five years. He then purchased a hardware store which he ran for three years. In 1913, he became Secretary-Treasurer of the Rural Municipality of Willner, while also selling insurance. Saskatchewan Liberal Party
The Saskatchewan Liberal Party is a liberal political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The party was the provincial affiliate of the Liberal Party of Canada until 2009. Arm River is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. This constituency is located in south central Saskatchewan. Legislative Assembly Of Saskatchewan
The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly.
