Dumariya is a town and market center in Chandrapur Municipality in Rautahat District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal. The formerly village development committee was merged to form the municipality on 18 May 2014. This village has got a government hospital and ward committee both next to each other. This place has got four main electricity transformer among which two of them are privately settled for their own purpose. Chandrapur Municipality
Chandrapur Municipality (other names ''Chandranigahapur'', locally known as ''Chapur'') is a Municipality in Rautahat District in the Narayani Zone in Madhesh Province of southern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging Chandranigahapur, Judibela, Paurai, Santpur, Santpur Matioun, Dumriya, Dumariya Matioun Village development committee (Nepal), VDCs. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 13,456 people living in 2,465 individual households. History This town was named under the late Rana Prime Minister Chandra Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana, Chandra Shamsher, who used to come for hunting purpose. The provinces of Nepal ( ne, नेपालका प्रदेशहरू, translit=Nepālkā Pradeśharū) were formed on 20 September 2015 in accordance with Schedule 4 of the Constitution of Nepal. Districts in Nepal are second level of administrative divisions after provinces. Districts are subdivided in municipalities and rural municipalities. A municipality ( ne, नगरपालिका) in Nepal is an administrative division in the Provinces of Nepal. The urban population of Nepal refers to the inhabitants residing in the designated municipal area. Chandrapur (earlier known as ''Chanda'', the official name until 1964) is a city and a municipal corporation in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra state, India. It is the district headquarters of Chandrapur district. Chandrapur is a fort city founded by Khandkya Ballal Sah, a Gond king of the 13th century. Rautahat District ( ne, :ne:रौतहट जिल्ला, रौतहट जिल्ला), a part of Madhesh Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. Village Development Committee (Nepal)
A village development committee ( ne, गाउँ विकास समिति; ''gāum̐ vikās samiti'') in Nepal was the lower administrative part of its Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development. Each district had several VDCs, similar to municipalities but with greater public-government interaction and administration. There were 3,157 village development committees in Nepal. 1991 Nepal Census
The 1991 Nepal census was a widespread national census conducted by the Nepal Central Bureau of Statistics. Working with Nepal's Village Development Committees at a district level, they recorded data from all the main towns and villages of each district of the country. The data included statistics on population size, households, sex and age distribution, place of birth, residence characteristics, literacy, marital status, religion, language spoken, caste/ethnic group, economically active population, education, number of children, employment status, and occupation.
