Dumbarton F.C.
Dumbarton Football Club is a semi-professional football club in Dumbarton, Scotland. Founded on 23 December 1872, they are one of the oldest football clubs in Scotland. They currently play in . The club plays home games at the Dumbarton Football Stadium next to Dumbarton Castle. They were one of the most successful of the nineteenth century, winning the Scottish Football League in the first two seasons of the competition (the first jointly with Rangers). The club ceased playing in 1901 and did not return to action until 1905. Although at the time it was emphasised that this was a new club, subsequent directives by the SFA and Scottish Combination appear to countermand this, possibly to fast-track the re-formed club into their competitions. Since then, the club have spent the majority of their history outside the top flight, with their last appearance at the top level coming in 1984–85. Dumbarton Football Stadium
The Dumbarton Football Stadium, known as the Marbill Coaches Stadium and commonly known as The Rock, is a stadium in Dumbarton, Scotland, used mostly for football matches; it is the home ground of Dumbarton Football Club. The stadium has a capacity of , and was built in 2000 after the move away from Dumbarton's former home, Boghead Park. It was built on part of the site formerly occupied by Denny's shipyard. The stadium is 5–10 minutes walk from Dumbarton East railway station on the North Clyde Line. Dumbarton have the third smallest stadium in the SPFL. History The stadium has just one stand, officially opened on Saturday 2 December 2000 prior to the visit of Elgin City; a match which ended 3–0 to the Sons. Tony Wallace (footballer)
Tony Wallace (born 22 February 1991 in Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Dumbarton. He began his senior career with Dumbarton, then signed for Greenock Morton, although he spent the end of 2013–14 on loan at Queen's Park. In 2014, he signed for Lowland Football League side BSC Glasgow, and then moved to Highland Football League outfit Nairn County in July 2015. He also had spells with East Fife, East Kilbride, Annan Athletic, Clyde and Gartcairn. Kalvin Orsi
Kalvin Orsi (born 15 April 1997) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a winger for side Dumbarton. Orsi, who began his career with Aberdeen's youth sides, has previously played for St Mirren, Queen's Park, Greenock Morton and Brechin City. Career Orsi began his career in Aberdeen's youth sides, playing with the club for six seasons, without making an appearance for the senior side. After his release by Aberdeen in May 2017, he signed a deal with Scottish Championship club St Mirren. He made his debut for St Mirren on 29 November 2016, as a substitute in a Scottish Cup match at home to Spartans. Mark Durnan (born 28 November 1992) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Dumbarton. Durnan has previously played for St Johnstone, Queen of the South, Dundee United, Dunfermline Athletic, Falkirk and Alloa Athletic, as well as Arbroath, Stranraer and Elgin City on loan. Aron Lynas (born 19 April 1996) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a defender for side Dumbarton. He has also played for Cowdenbeath, Alloa Athletic, East Stirlingshire, Brechin City and Albion Rovers. Career Born in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Lynas began his career at Cowdenbeath. In British sports, a supporters' trust is a formal, democratic and not-for-profit organisation of Fan (person), fans who attempt to strengthen the influence of supporters over the running of the club they support. West Dunbartonshire (; , ) is one of the 32 Local government in Scotland, local government council areas of Scotland.
