Tony Wallace (footballer)
Tony Wallace (born 22 February 1991 in Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Dumbarton. He began his senior career with Dumbarton, then signed for Greenock Morton, although he spent the end of 2013–14 on loan at Queen's Park. In 2014, he signed for Lowland Football League side BSC Glasgow, and then moved to Highland Football League outfit Nairn County in July 2015. He also had spells with East Fife, East Kilbride, Annan Athletic, Clyde and Gartcairn. Career Dumbarton Wallace was a bit part player during his two seasons with the first team at Dumbarton, coming to the fore in their victory in the play-offs to win promotion to the Scottish First Division. This performance earned him a move to full-time First Division side Greenock Morton for a nominal fee. The Scottish Football League First Division was the second tier in the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The First Division was introduced in 1975–76 to replace the old Scottish Football League Division Two, as the top flight of the Scottish Football League was renamed from Division One to Premier Division. Scottish League One
The Scottish League One, known as cinch League One for sponsorship reasons, is the third tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League One was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Format Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned league champion. If points are equal, the goal difference determines the winner.
