Dularcha National Park
Dularcha is a national park in Queensland, Australia, 78 km north of Brisbane. The park occupies a north east portion of Landsborough. It is bisected by the North Coast railway line. The park covers an area of . It lies within the Mooloolah River water catchment area of the South East Queensland bioregion. The park features the heritage-listed Dularcha railway tunnel which was built in 1891. The park was initially declared so as to ensure rail passengers were provided a decent view of Queensland's forest. Use of the tunnel halted in 1932 when the line was moved to the east. The tunnel now serves as a seasonal lodge for a variety of small bats, including large-footed myotis. The park was extended in 2010 when Mooloolah Forest Reserve was added to the national park. The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) is a business division of the Department of Environment and Science within the Government of Queensland. Landsborough is a town and a locality in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. At the , Landsborough had a population of 4,446 people. Geography Landsborough is in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. It is situated north of the Glasshouse Mountains just off Steve Irwin Way, north of Brisbane at the base of the southern end of the Blackall Range. North Coast Railway Line, Queensland
The North Coast railway line is a 1067 mm railway line in Queensland, Australia. It commences at Roma Street station, Brisbane, and largely parallels the Queensland coast to Cairns in Far North Queensland. The line is electrified between Brisbane and Rockhampton. Along the way, the 1680 km railway passes through the numerous towns and cities of eastern Queensland including Nambour, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay and Townsville. Mooloolah River
The Mooloolah River is a river in South East Queensland, Australia. The river rises from the eastern slopes of the Blackall Range and flows east-northeast, similar to the Maroochy River to the north. The mouth of the river is at southern Mooloolaba. The catchment area covers 221 km2. Addlington Creek, a tributary of the Mooloolah River was dammed by the Ewen Maddock Dam in 1973. Mountain Creek is another tributary that rises on the Buderim mountain that divides the Mooloolah and Maroochy watersheds. The gastric-brooding frog is a recently extinct frog that was discovered in only three catchments, the Mary River, Mooloolah River and Stanley Rivers. Dularcha Railway Tunnel
Dularcha Railway Tunnel is a heritage-listed former railway tunnel at south of Mooloolah township in Landsborough, Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1890 to 1891 by T Jesser & Company. It is also known as North Coast Line No 1 : Mooloolah tunnel. It was also used during world war 1 and world war 2 as a transport route for injured troops. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 24 September 1999. Myotis Macropus
The southern myotis (''Myotis macropus''), also known as large-footed myotis, is a species of vesper bat (Vespertilionidae) in genus ''Myotis''. The southern myotis is one of only two Australian "fishing" bats and feeds by trawling its specially adapted feet along the water's surface for aquatic invertebrates and fish. Distribution ''M. macropus'' is distributed along the east coast of Australia, from south-east Queensland to New South Wales and Victoria.
