Arthur Radclyffe Dugmore
Arthur Vaux Venner Radclyffe Dugmore (1870–1955) was a Welsh-born American naturalist and wildlife photographer, painter, print-maker and author. He turned from "hunting to capturing his subjects on paper and canvas." Early life Dugmore was born December 25, 1870, in Bodalog, near Betws-y-Coed, Wales, the second son of Captain Francis Sandys Dugmore and Emily Evelyn, a daughter of William Brougham, 2nd Baron Brougham and Vaux. His father served in The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada before his birth, and later in the 64th (2nd Staffordshire) Regiment of Foot, 64th Regiment of Foot. Dugmore was educated at Elizabeth College, Guernsey, and later in Kadıköy and Bournabat (in modern day Turkey). He studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, Instituto di Belle Arti in Naples, and went to America in 1889. Edward Dugmore
Edward Dugmore (February 20, 1915 – June 13, 1996) was an abstract expressionist painter with close ties to both the San Francisco and New York art worlds in the post-war era following World War II. Since 1950 he had more than two dozen solo exhibitions of his paintings in galleries across the United States. His paintings have been seen in hundreds of group exhibitions over the years. Biography Edward Dugmore was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on February 20, 1915. He underwent traditional art training at the Hartford Art School before going to Kansas City in the summer of 1941 to study with Thomas Hart Benton at the Kansas City Art Institute. He entered the Marine Corps in 1943, and upon his discharge, taught painting and drawing at St. Joseph's College in West Hartford, Connecticut. In 1948, Dugmore took advantage of the G.I. Geoff Dugmore
Geoff Dugmore (born 12 April 1960) is a Scottish drummer, musical director and producer. He was a member of the bands The Europeans, and Wildlife. Career Educated at Kelvinside Academy in Glasgow, Scotland, Dugmore started his musical career initially playing guitar. However, he became enamored with the drums upon seeing pictures Ringo Starr playing inside his Beatles records, immediately becoming impressed with the drum set equipment. He eventually traded his guitar equipment with a school friend for a drum set. At the age of 13 he started making demos and sending them to record labels, and also played in cover bands from the age of 16. Signed to the short-lived Coma Records, at age 16 he released just one recording on the label. Dugmore moved to London at the age of 18 with his band The Europeans (Steve Hogarth, Colin Woore & Fergus Harper) and signed to A&M Records. Henry Hare Dugmore
Henry Hare Dugmore (1810–1896) was an English missionary, writer and translator. He was born in England to Isaac and Maria Dugmore and baptised in Birmingham on 5 June 1810. The family emigrated when his father was financially ruined after being forced to pay the debts of a relative for whom he had stood surety. The Dugmore family sailed to South Africa on the vessel ''Sir George Osborn'' in 1820 as part of the Gardner party of 1820 Settlers. Conversion and missionary work In 1830 Dugmore became a committed member of the Wesleyan Methodist church, and began to study for ordination. In the late 1830s he was appointed as the successor to the missionary William Boyce, who ran a Wesleyan mission station in the rural Eastern Cape at Mount Coke, near King William's Town. Dugmore became fluent in the Xhosa language, and spent the next twenty years undertaking missionary work. Cyril Dugmore
Cyril Patrick William Francis Radclyffe Dugmore (20 May 1882 – 22 January 1966) was a British Army officer and track and field athlete who competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics. Dugmore was born in Birr and died on Guernsey. He was a grandson of William Brougham, 2nd Baron Brougham and Vaux, and a brother of artist-author Arthur Radclyffe Dugmore. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Service Corps on 16 August 1902, and was stationed in South Africa in the aftermath of the Second Boer War. He was listed as returning to Southampton on the SS ''Orcana'' in January 1903, and as then stationed at Woolwich. Dan Dugmore is an American session musician known primarily for playing the pedal steel guitar Born in 1949, Dugmore was raised in Pasadena, California. Influenced by the Flying Burrito Brothers, he learned to play steel guitar after Flying Burrito Brothers member Sneaky Pete Kleinow sold him one. Dugmore then joined John Stewart's road band, and then Linda Ronstadt's; he also played for several James Taylor albums. In the 1990s, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he began playing steel guitar on country music albums. He self-released a Beatles cover album in 2003 titled ''Off White Album''. Dugmore also plays Dobro, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin. Adrian Grant Dugmore (born 1 February 1967) is a South Africa-born Argentine cricketer and cricket administrator based in Argentina. Dugmore played as a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper.
