Music For Earthworms
''Music for Earthworms'' is American hip hop artist Aesop Rock's debut album. The album was recorded during summers and other occasions on which Aesop Rock would return home to New York City from college at Boston University. It was mostly recorded in a Manhattan studio where Dub-L and Plain Pat were working as interns. Although the studio was not typically used as a recording studio, it was equipped with impressive technology for the time, including Digital Audio Tape machines, ADAT machines and CD drives capable of burning discs. Aesop Rock's vocals were recorded on an SM58 microphone. ''Music for Earthworms'' was ultimately self-distributed. As an unsigned artist, Aesop Rock was responsible for cutting out the album covers and burning the album onto CDs himself. Rozell Manely Brown (born October 6, 1964) is an American beatboxer and rapper, formerly a member of the Roots. Rahzel is known for an ability to sing or rap while simultaneously beatboxing, as evidenced in his performances of "Iron Man" and his signature song "If Your Mother Only Knew", a hidden track on ''Make the Music 2000''. Hangar 18 was an American hip hop group from New York City, New York. It consisted of Alaska, Windnbreeze, and DJ Pawl. The group was signed to Definitive Jux. History During their early years, Alaska and Windnbreeze were active members of the Atoms Family crew. Hangar 18 was formed after the two were joined by DJ Pawl in 2002. The group's name derives from a hangar at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. In 2004, Hangar 18 released the debut studio album, ''The Multi-Platinum Debut Album'', on Definitive Jux. It specializes in hip hop and alternative-style clothing and shoes. History Yellow Rat Bastard (YRB), the word YRB was originally developed by Marc Ecko, a former store manager and the space designer of the New York City store. The idea for the store came from a Frank Miller comic book called "Sin City"; it had an issue entitled "That Yellow Bastard".
