Duane Ankney
Duane Ankney (born April 14, 1946) is a Republican member of the Montana Senate representing District 20. Ankney was a member of Montana House of Representatives for District 43, which represents a portion of the Yellowstone County area from 2007 to 2015. Political positions Energy Ankney is a supporter of coal usage. In 2015, Ankney introduced Senate Bill 402, which would have required utilities to pay an impact fee to close a power plant before 2025. Portions of the revenue made from the fee would have gone to school districts and the Montana Department of Commerce. Frederick "Eric" Moore is an American politician who served as a member of the Montana Legislature. He was first elected on November 2, 2010 to Senate District 20. Early life and education Moore, originally from Colorado, Moore earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture science from Montana State University. Career In the 2011 session, Moore was appointed to the Business & Labor, Education, and Agriculture committees. In 2013, he served as a majority whip. Moore served District 20 until being redistricted in 2015, and now represents District 37, which includes all of Carter, Garfield, McCone, and Prairie Counties, and parts of Fallon, Powder River and Wibaux Counties, Montana. Colstrip Power Plant
Colstrip is a city in Rosebud County, Montana, United States. The population was 2,096 at the 2020 census. Established in 1924 and incorporated as a city in 1998, Colstrip is the largest city in Rosebud County with 25.2% of the total population. Colstrip's primary industries are coal mining and electricity production. In 2005, '' Sports Illustrated''’s 50th anniversary issue named Colstrip the top sports town in Montana. Coal is a combustible black or brownish-black sedimentary rock, formed as rock strata called coal seams. Monica Lindeen (born May 16, 1962) is an American politician who served as the Montana State Auditor. She was elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2012.
