Drysdale Island
Drysdale Island is a large but low-lying island in the Wessel Islands group in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is long and up to wide. It measures in area. The only settlement is Yirringa, a small family Aboriginal outstation at the northeastern end. There are numerous small lakes within it which are easily accessed by the tide, some of which are submerged for prolonged periods of time. The much smaller and uninhabited Yargara Island (little more than one square kilometre in area) lies directly north and is separated from it by a shallow, rocky channel wide. Island

Wessel Islands
The Wessel Islands is a group of uninhabited islands in the Northern Territory of Australia. They extend in a more or less straight line from Buckingham Bay and the Napier Peninsula of Arnhem Land, and Elcho Island, to the northeast. Marchinbar Island is the largest of the group. Other islands include Elcho Island, Rimbija Island (the most outlying island), Guluwuru, Raragala, Stevens Island, Burgunngura, Djeergaree, Yargara, Drysdale Island, Jirrgari Island, Graham Island, Alger Island, Abbott Island, and Howard Island. Bumaga Island and Warnawi Island, both part of the Wessel Islands group, are also part of the Cunningham Islands. History The Wessel Islands constituted the homelands of the ''Nango'' or Yan-nhaŋu. Outstation (Aboriginal Community)
An outstation, homeland or homeland community is a very small, often remote, permanent community of Aboriginal Australian people connected by kinship, on land that often, but not always, has social, cultural or economic significance to them, as traditional land. The outstation movement or homeland movement refers to the voluntary relocation of Aboriginal people from towns to these locations. The outstation movement A movement arose in the 1970s and continued through the 1980s which saw the creation of very small, remote settlements of Aboriginal people who relocated themselves from the towns and settlements where they had been settled by the government's policy of assimilation. It was "a move towards reclaiming autonomy and self-sufficiency". Graham Island (Wessel Islands)
Graham Island () is the largest island in the Haida Gwaii archipelago (previously known as the Queen Charlotte Islands), lying off the mainland coast of British Columbia, Canada. It is separated by the narrow Skidegate Channel from the other principal island of the group to the south, Moresby Island (''T'aaxwii X̱aaydag̱a Gwaay.yaay linag̱waay'' in the language of the Haida people).
