Drutojan Express
The Drutajan Express "দ্রুতযান এক্সপ্রেস" is an inter-city train of Bangladesh Railway service. It gives service between the capital Dhaka and the northern Panchagarh District. At first it was operated from Dinajpur to Dhaka Cantonment Station, then extended to Panchagarh and Kamalapur. It is one of the fastest and luxury trains in Bangladesh. Schedule and Stations Drutajan express departs from Panchagarh railway station at 08:10 am and reaches Dhaka at 06:55 pm every day. It takes 10 hours 40 minutes for a trip. Panchagarh (; bn, পঞ্চগড়, 'five forts') is a district of the Rangpur division in Northern Bangladesh. Panchagarh is the northernmost district of Bangladesh. It lies between 26º00' and 26º38' north latitudes and between 88º19' and 88º49' east longitudes. It was established as a district on 1 February 1984. Etymology Panchagarh is also called pachagarh (which means 'rotten' in bengali) as a mockery term. There are two main beliefs associated with the name of the district. Kamalapur Railway Station
Kamalapur Railway Station, officially known as Dhaka Railway Station, is the central railway station in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. It is the largest station and the busiest infrastructure for transportation in the country that acts as a gateway of the country's capital. It is also considered to be one of the most modern and striking buildings in the decade of its establishment. It was opened on 1 May 1968. It was built during the Pakistan period but its railway line was built during the British Indian period. Parbatipur Railway Station
Parbatipur ( bn, পার্বতীপুর) is a railway junction in Dinajpur district of Rangpur Division in Bangladesh. History During the British period all railway connections to Assam and North Bengal were through the eastern part of Bengal. From 1878, the railway route from Kolkata, then called Calcutta, to Siliguri was in two laps. The first lap was a 185 km journey along the Eastern Bengal State Railway from Calcutta Station (later renamed Sealdah) to Damookdeah Ghat on the southern bank of the Padma River, then across the river in a ferry and the second lap of the journey, which was a 336 km metre gauge line of the North Bengal Railway that linked Saraghat on the northern bank of the Padma to Siliguri.
