Coach (basketball)
Basketball coaching is the act of directing and strategizing the behavior of a basketball team or individual basketball player. Basketball coaching typically encompasses the improvement of individual and team offensive and defensive skills, as well as overall physical conditioning. Coaches also have the responsibility to improve their team by player development, strategy, and in-game management. Coaches also teach and inspire their team to be their best. Coaching is usually performed by a single person, often with the help of one or more assistants. Oren Aharoni (אורן אהרוני; born November 12, 1973) is an Israeli basketball coach and former basketball player. He played the guard position. Aharoni played in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, and on the Israeli national basketball team. Biography Aharoni is 6' 3" (190 cm) tall. He attended Florida International University for one year ('96). Aharoni played for the Florida International Panthers in his freshman year in 1996-96. He holds the FIU freshman record in three-point field goals (49), and is 4th of all FIU fresmen all time in assists (58), and tied for 8th in steals (31). Aharoni played in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Guy Goodes ( he, גיא גודס; born 13 March 1971) is an Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of Hapoel Holon of the Israeli Premier League and the Israel national team. Professional career Goodes played as a point guard from 1994 to 2004, primarily with Maccabi Tel Aviv (1990–97 and 1998–99). He was on the Israel basketball national team from 1995 to 1999.
