Dropout Kings (formerly Phoenix Down) is an American nu metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, United States, that formed in 2016. They are currently signed to Suburban Noize Records and have released one album and one EP: ''Audiodope'' and ''GlitchGang,'' which were released August 10, 2018 and April 6, 2021. History Dropout Kings was founded by Adam Ramey after his previous band The Bad Chapter broke up in 2015. As a way to stay active musically, he approached rapper Eddie Wellz to do a cover of Linkin Park's “Lying From You” after seeing a video of Wellz performing on YouTube. Due to a positive reception, Ramey approached previous members of The Bad Chapter; Trevor Norgren and later Staig Flynn and Rob Sebastian and previous bandmate Chucky Guzman from We The Collectors to form a new band called Phoenix Down, which by 2017 had changed its name to Dropout Kings. Coal Chamber
Coal Chamber is an American nu metal band formed by Dez Fafara and Meegs Rascón in Los Angeles, California in 1993. Prior to Coal Chamber, the two had also created the band She's in Pain, in 1992. The original lineup also consisted of bassist Rayna Foss and drummer Jon Tor. Mike Cox replaced Tor on drums shortly afterwards, and thus the Coal Chamber lineup was complete. After signing to Roadrunner Records, they released their debut album, ''Coal Chamber'', in 1997. ''Chamber Music'' followed two years later and featured the band's only charting single in the US, "Shock the Monkey". Their third album, '' Dark Days'', was released in the spring of 2002. Hacktivist are a British rap metal band formed in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England in 2011. They released a self-titled EP in 2012 followed by their debut studio album, ''Outside the Box,'' in 2016. The band's second studio album, ''Hyperdialect,'' was released in 2021. History Hacktivist began in 2011 when former guitarist Timfy James left his previous band Heart of a Coward. Landon Khale Tewers (born September 27, 1989) is an American musician and producer. He is a former band member of Before Their Eyes, where he was the rhythm guitarist and unclean vocalist. He is best known for being founder and the lead vocalist in the rock band The Plot in You and for his self-titled solo project. Music career Tewers joined Before Their Eyes in 2008. The Gathering of the Juggalos (The Gathering or GOTJ) is an annual festival put on by Psychopathic Records, featuring performances by the entire label roster as well as numerous well-known musical groups and underground artists. It was founded by Jumpsteady, Insane Clown Posse ( Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler), and their label in 2000. The band's second album, ''Nexus'', was released on October 7, 2016. The band released their third album called ''Mr. Pain'' on October 29, 2019. History Formation, debut album and tour (2012–2014) Dayshell came to prominence after Shayley Bourget's departure from metalcore band Of Mice & Men in 2012.
