Drohmo
Drohmo (also known as ''Drohmo Ri'') is a multi-peaked mountain located at in Eastern Nepal. Location Drohmo is located in Janak mountain range in Eastern Nepal Mountain Range. The peak is 3.5km north east of Tengkoma, 5.4km south of Janak Chuli on Nepal China border, and 7.8km west of Pathibhara Chuli. In addition to the main summit at , the Drohmo also has a central summit at m and an east summit m. A sub-peak ''Drohmo II'' rises even further to the east with at . Climbing history Drohmo was first attempted by a Swiss team in 1949, but they were unsuccessful. Till date, no one has summited the main Drohmo peak. Doug Scott
Douglas Keith Scott (29 May 19417 December 2020) was an English mountaineer, noted for being on the team that made the first ascent of the south-west face of Mount Everest on 24 September 1975. In receiving one of mountaineering's highest honours, the Piolet d'Or Lifetime Achievement Award, his personal style and climbs were described as "visionary". Over the years he was on 40 expeditions to the high mountains of Asia, during which he made some 30 first ascents. In 2020 he was diagnosed with cancer, and he died of the disease in December 2020. Early life Scott was born in Nottingham, England, and was the eldest of three sons. Scott would later discover that his mother was born at almost the exact same time as famed mountaineer Edmund Hillary, which Scott felt was an uncanny coincidence. The Himalayas, or Himalaya (; ; ), is a mountain range in Asia, separating the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. Eastern Nepal
The Eastern Development Region ( Nepali: पुर्वाञ्चल विकास क्षेत्र, ''Purwānchal Bikās Kshetra'') was one of Nepal's five development regions. It is also known as Kirata region. It was located at the eastern end of the country with its headquarters at Dhankuta. The town of Dhankuta was the headquarter of the Eastern Region, as well as the headquarter of the Dhankuta District. History On April 13, 1961 Mahendra, the king of Nepal, divided the existing 35 districts into 75 districts and grouped them into 14 administrative zones. In 1972, the King of Nepal grouped 14 zones into total 4 development regions, thus Eastern Development Region came into existence.
