Dreamcatcher (group)
Dreamcatcher ( ko, 드림캐쳐, translit=deurimkaechyeo; formerly known as MINX; also stylized as Dream Catcher) is a South Korean girl group formed by Dreamcatcher Company. The group consists of seven members: JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyun. They made their official debut on January 13, 2017, with the single album ''Nightmare (single album), Nightmare''. Dreamcatcher originally debuted under the name MINX with a five-member line-up of JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami. In November 2016, the group announced their re-debut in 2017 under the new name Dreamcatcher, with two new members Handong and Gahyun, as well as a darker concept with a non-mainstream music style, in order to stand out from other K-pop girl groups. ''Bang Bang'' is the first studio album by South Korean girl group Dal Shabet, released June 6, 2012. "Mr. Bang Bang" served as the lead single. Background Immediately following the end of promotions for their fourth mini-album, ''Hit U (EP), Hit U'', Dal Shabet announced that they would be returning to the music scene in June of the same year. The group expressed, "We’re glad to have been able to show a different image than our previous ones with this comeback. We’ll be using the experience gained from our fourth mini-album for our next album.” On May 23, 2012, it was formally announced that Viki, Dal Shabet's leader and rapper, would be departing from the group to pursue individual activities. ''Mix Nine'' (Hangul: 믹스나인, stylized as MIXNINE) was a South Korean survival reality show broadcast on JTBC. In the show, YG Entertainment founder and producer Yang Hyun-suk traveled to music agencies across Korea to find up-and-coming K-pop stars. Throughout the episodes, contestants were progressively eliminated, culminating in a competition between a team of the final nine boys and one of the final nine girls. The winning team was to debut as idols, but their debut was ultimately cancelled following contract disputes between YG Entertainment and the contestants' respective agencies. Drum and bass (also written as drum & bass or drum'n'bass and commonly abbreviated as D&B, DnB, or D'n'B) is a genre of electronic dance music characterized by fast breakbeats (typically 165–185 beats per minute) with heavy bass and sub-bass lines, samples, and synthesizers.
