A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on 25 May 2007, and the channel went live on 23 July 2007. Originally broadcast in English, on 15 May 2010, Dawn News converted into an Urdu news channel after successful test transmission of four hours a day. The 3rd Hum Awards ceremony, presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis and Telenor, honored the best in fashion, music and Hum Television Dramas of 2014 and took place on 9 April 2015, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE at 8:30 p.m. UAE Standard Time and was televised on 23 May at 7:30 p.m. PST. Danish Nawaz Baloch ( ur, ; born 4 August 1978) is a Pakistani television and film actor, director, and comedian. He has established a career in Pakistani television and is mostly famous as a comedian. He is best known for his lead comedy roles in the '' Nadaniyan'', '' Extras: The Mango People'' and ''Larka Karachi Ka Kuri Lahore Di''.
