Dragoș Pîslaru
Dragoș Pîslaru is a Romanian economist and politician of REPER who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. He was previously a member of USR PLUS/USR. He also held the position of Minister of Labor, Family, Social Protection and the Elderly in the government of Prime Minister Dacian Cioloș from 18 April 2016, until 4 January 2017. Early life and education Pîslaru is a graduate of the Faculty of International Economic Relations within the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest (October 1994 – September 1998) with a bachelor's degree in International Economics. Renewing Romania's European Project ( ro, Reînnoim Proiectul European al României, REPER) is a social liberal and pro-European political party in Romania. It is a splinter of the Save Romania Union (USR) currently led by Dragoș Pîslaru and Ramona Strugariu as acting co-presidents, founded in May 2022, in opposition to USR's current leadership under Cătălin Drulă. The Romanian Academy ( ro, Academia Română ) is a cultural forum founded in Bucharest, Romania, in 1866. It covers the scientific, artistic and literary domains. The academy has 181 active members who are elected for life. Pan-European Pension
The Pan-European Pension Product (PEPP) or like Pan-European Personal Pension Product is a proposed pension which will be available to residents of the European Union. The PEPP is designed to give the 240 million savers in the EU a better choice in the fragmented and uneven European market, where options are nearly non-existent in some member states. PEPPs are regulated by the Regulation 2019/1238. This regulation lays the legal foundation for a single European market for personal pensions. The PEPP will be complementary to existing state, occupational and private pension systems on national level. After endorsement by the European Parliament and official adoption by the European Council the PEPP regulation was published in July 2019 and will enter into application in August 2020. USR PLUS
USR PLUS was a Romanian progressive, liberal, and centrist political alliance active between 2019 and 2021. Established on 2 February 2019 solely as an electoral alliance between the political parties Save Romania Union (USR) and the Freedom, Unity and Solidarity Party (PLUS) it was initially called 2020 USR-PLUS Alliance ( ro, Alianța 2020 USR-PLUS). The alliance was formed to participate together in the May 2019 European Parliament election in Romania. Subsequently, the two parties decided to sign a protocol for a political alliance for the 2019 Romanian presidential election and for the 2020 local and legislative elections as well.
