Doug McLeod
Douglas Dwain McLeod (born December 15, 1960) is an American politician from the state of Mississippi. A Republican, he has served in the Mississippi House of Representatives since 2012. Early life McLeod attended Hinds Community College and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Political career Election results Personal life He and his wife, Michelle, have three children. Arrest for alleged domestic violence On May 18, 2019, McLeod was arrested for allegedly punching his wife in the face because it was claimed, she did not undress quickly enough before they were able to have sex. According to a report from sheriff's deputies, McLeod bloodied her nose and they found blood on their bed and bedroom floor. When they arrived he appeared intoxicated, was stumbling and was holding an alcoholic drink. Lucedale, Mississippi
Lucedale () is a city in George County, Mississippi, United States. It is part of the Pascagoula, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lucedale was founded in 1901 when Governor A.H. Longino signed his name and his seal to the proclamation. It was named after its founder, Gregory Marston Luce, who operated a lumber business there. The population was 2,923 at the 2010 census, up from 2,458 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of George County. Mississippi House Of Representatives
The Mississippi House of Representatives is the lower house of the Mississippi Legislature, the lawmaking body of the U.S. state of Mississippi. According to the state constitution of 1890, it is to comprise no more than 122 members elected for four-year terms. To qualify as a member of the House candidates must be at least 21 years old, a resident of Mississippi for at least four years, and a resident in the district for at least two years. Elections are held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. The ''Sun Herald'' is a U.S. newspaper based in Biloxi, Mississippi, that serves readers along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The paper's current executive editor and general manager is Blake Kaplan and its headquarters is in the city of Gulfport. It is owned by The McClatchy Company, one of the largest newspaper publishers in the United States. It was founded in 1884 as ''The Weekly Herald'', based in Biloxi. It expanded its coverage into Gulfport in 1905, and by 1934 had changed its name to ''The Daily Herald'', becoming an evening and Saturday newspaper. WLOX
WLOX (channel 13) is a television station licensed to Biloxi, Mississippi, United States, serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast as an affiliate of ABC and CBS. Owned by Gray Television, the station maintains studios on DeBuys Road in Biloxi, and its transmitter is located in unincorporated southern Stone County near McHenry. History WLOX was the first television station on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, having begun operations September 15, 1962. It was owned by the Love family and their WLOX Broadcasting Company along with WLOX radio (AM 1490, now WANG). The station immediately aligned with ABC, an unusual move at the time for what, then as now, was a very small market.
