Doug Flack
Douglas Billy Halbert Flack (24 October 1920 – 18 October 2005) was an English professional association football, footballer who played in the Football League for Fulham F.C., Fulham and Walsall F.C., Walsall as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. After his retirement as a player, he managed Corinthian-Casuals F.C., Corinthian-Casuals and Tooting & Mitcham United F.C., Tooting & Mitcham United. Personal life Flack attended Lampton School, Spring Grove Grammar School. He served in India in World War II, India with the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. Staines-upon-Thames
Staines-upon-Thames is a market town in northwest Surrey, England, around west of central London. It is in the Borough of Spelthorne, at the confluence of the River Thames and Colne. Historically part of Middlesex, the town was transferred to Surrey in 1965. Staines is close to Heathrow Airport and is linked to the national motorway network by the M25 and M3. The earliest evidence of human activity in the area is from the Paleolithic and, during the Neolithic, there was a causewayed enclosure on Staines Moor. The first bridge across the Thames at Staines is thought to have been built by the Romans and there was a settlement in the area around the modern High Street by the end of the 1st century CE. Throughout the middle ages, Staines was primarily an agricultural settlement and was held by Westminster Abbey. Football League First Division
The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. The First Division contained between 12 and 24 clubs, playing each other home and away in a double round robin. The competition was based on two points for a win from 1888 until the increase to three points for a win in 1981. After the creation of the Premier League, the name First Division was given to the second-tier division (from 1992). The name ceased to exist after the 2003–04 First Division season. Tottenham () is a town in North London, England, within the London Borough of Haringey. It is located in the ceremonial county of Greater London.
