Doubles (2000 Film)
''Doubles'' is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Pandiarajan, who also played a guest appearance in the film. Produced by K. Rajan, the film stars Prabhu Deva, Meena, and Sangeetha, while Vivek, Manivannan, and Kovai Sarala play supporting roles. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by debutant Srikanth Deva. The film was released on 11 August 2000. Plot The movie starts projecting Prabhu (Prabhu Deva) as a shopkeeper who sells toys to kids. He does all possible crazy actions in the world, which really irritates everyone. He has many bad habits, such as drinking and smoking. Pandiarajan is an Indian actor, director who has played leading roles in many humorous Tamil films and currently plays supporting and comedy roles. Personal life Pandiarajan was born to Sulochana in Saidapet, Chennai in a lower-middle-class family. He has two sisters, Maheshwari & Geetha. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is an Indian playback, bhajan and ghazal singer who predominantly sings in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages. Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four.
