Dotan Harpenau (born 26 October 1986), better known by his stage name Dotan, is a Dutch-Israeli singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. Biography Personal life Dotan was born in Jerusalem and moved to Amsterdam at the age of one. 2014–2015: ''7 Layers'' On 31 January 2014, Dotan released his self-produced studio album ''7 Layers'' at Paradiso, Amsterdam. The album quickly reached number 2 on the Dutch Top 100 Charts according to Dutch news website NU.nl. The first single, "Fall", was released on 17 January 2014. The second single from the album is called "Home"'. "Home" was nominated SuperCrazyTurboTopHit, 3FM Megahit, and Alarmschijf on Dutch Radio. After several weeks at number one in the Dutch iTunes top 100, "Home" entered the Dutch MegaTop50 at number 1 and remained there for 4 weeks. "Home" also became number 1 in Belgium on 22 August. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. The Polish music charts are provided by ZPAV, the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (Polish: Związek Producentów Audio-Video). The Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI) is an umbrella organization that keeps track of virtually all aspects of the music recording industry in Italy. It was established in 1992, when major corporate labels left the previously existing Associazione dei Fonografici Italiani (AFI).
