Roswitha Wieland
Hrotsvitha (c. 935–973) was a secular canoness who wrote drama and Christian poetry under the Ottonian dynasty. She was born in Bad Gandersheim to Saxon nobles and entered Gandersheim Abbey as a canoness. She is considered the first female writer from the Germanosphere, the first female historian, the first person since the Fall of the Roman Empire to write dramas in the Latin West, and the first German female poet. Hrotsvitha's six short dramas are considered to be her most important works. She is one of the few women who wrote about her life during the early Middle Ages, making her one of the only people to record a history of women in that era from a woman's perspective. She has been called "the most remarkable woman of her time", and an important figure in the history of women. Little is known about Hrotsvitha's personal life. Kathrin Menzinger (born 24 September 1988 in Vienna) is an Austrian dancer. Menzinger and her partner won the World Championships in Latin Showdance in 2016 for the secnd time. Biography She started to dance at the age of 3, first with ballet, but soon changed to Ballroom and Latin dancing. Together with her brother, Patrick Menzinger, she won numerous Junior- and Youth national Dancesport Championships in Austria during the years 1999 - 2004. In 2004, she changed her partner and teamed up with the Canadian dancer Vadim Garbuzov, with whom she reached the final of the WDSF World Youth Ten Dance Championship 2005 in Antwerp (Belgium). 2006 they won the Austrian National Ten Dance Championship, and in the same year they managed to reach the Semifinal of the World Ten Dance Championship in Moscow. Vadim Garbuzov is a Canadian and Austrian ballroom dancer, showman and choreographer of Ukrainian descent. He was the World Youth Championship finalist in 2005, the winner of the Austrian TV program ''Dancing Stars'' in 2012, 2014 and 2020, and the professional world champion in Latin and Standard show dance 2015-2017. Currently, he is a Pro on the German TV Show Let’s Dance. Biography Vadim Garbuzov was born on 8 May 1987 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 1994 his parents immigrated to Canada, and took him to dance school in Vancouver at the age of seven. For the next several years, frequently traveling between Kharkiv and Vancouver, he attended secondary school and dance training in both cities. In 2003 Vadim Garbuzov and his partner Nadiya Dyatlova won the Canadian Youth Championships in Latin, and in 2004 in Standard. Ikomoniya "Biko" Botowamungu (born 22 January 1957) is a former boxer from Austria. Born in Stanleyville, Belgian Congo, he competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea in the super-heavyweight (+ 91 kg) division where he was defeated by Riddick Bowe of the United States in his opening bout. Botowamungu was Austrian amateur champion in heavyweight (1983) and super-heavyweight (1984-1989 and 1992). Botowamungu had a professional boxing record of 10 wins, 16 losses and a draw. In his homeland, Botowamungu was a wrestler. He was to compete in the 1976 Summer Olympics in that sport, representing Zaire but the African nation did not compete in Montreal, citing economic reasons.
