Doris D (born Debbie Jenner; 22 February 1959) is a British singer and dancer who spent her career in the Netherlands. Biography Jenner was born in Skegness, England, and settled in the Netherlands at the age of 20 to start a ballet school there. There, she was a featured dancer in the Dutch pop music television program '' TopPop'', and she worked with the girl group Babe. In 1980 she was asked to become the face of the studio band Lipps Inc. in the Netherlands, which had a big hit with " Funkytown". In the spring of 1980, the record also reached the number 1 position in the Netherlands on the then-three hit lists on the Dutch public radio station Hilversum 3: the Dutch Top 40, the National Hitparade and the TROS Top 50. Jenner's striking appearance also caught the eye of Piet Souer, producer of fellow girl group Luv', and he asked her to become the lead singer in a new girl group he formed called Doris D & The Pins. Skegness
Skegness ( ) is a seaside town and civil parish in the East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire, England. On the Lincolnshire coast of the North Sea, the town is east of Lincoln and north-east of Boston. With a population of 19,579 as of 2011, it is the largest settlement in East Lindsey. It also incorporates Winthorpe and Seacroft, and forms a larger built-up area with the resorts of Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards to the north. The town is on the A52 and A158 roads, connecting it with Boston and the East Midlands, and Lincoln respectively. Skegness railway station is on the Nottingham to Skegness (via Grantham) line. The original Skegness was situated farther east at the mouth of The Wash. Its Norse name refers to a headland which sat near the settlement. José Hoebee
Josina van de Wijdeven (born 29 March 1954), known as José Hoebee, is a Dutch pop singer. She was a member of Luv', a famous Dutch girl group in the late 1970s and early 1980s that scored hits in more than 15 countries. In late 1981, she went solo and was successful in her homeland and in the Flanders region of Belgium between 1982 and 1985. She formed a duo known as Bonnie & José with Bonnie St. Claire to record Dutch cover versions of ABBA's songs. Luv' went through line-up changes and reunited several times. On 7 February 2020 the group's management announced that Luv' would stop all their activities due to José's ill health. Pilates (; ) is a type of mind-body exercise developed in the early 20th century by German physical trainer Joseph Pilates, after whom it was named. Pilates called his method "Contrology". It is practiced worldwide, especially in countries such as Australia, Canada, South Korea, the United States and the United Kingdom. As of 2005, there were 11 million people practicing the discipline regularly and 14,000 instructors in the United States. Pilates developed in the aftermath of the late 19th century physical culture of exercising in order to alleviate ill health. Lex Goudsmit
Alexandre Joseph Goudsmit (;''Goudsmit'' in isolation: . 15 March 1913 in Brussels – 10 December 1999 in Amsterdam) was a Dutch-Belgian actor. Goudsmit's father, a diamond worker, was Jewish and his mother Roman Catholic. He became famous in 1966 for playing Tevye in ''Fiddler on the Roof'', which role he performed some 1100 times in the Netherlands and in London. He played many characters on Dutch television, among others in the popular youth series ''Q en Q'' (1974) and ''Thomas en Senior'' (1985–88). From 1984 to 1999 he played Grandpa Lex on ''Sesamstraat'', the Dutch version of Sesame Street. Goudsmit was one of the artists who recorded the song ''Shalom from Holland'' (written by Simon Hammelburg and Ron Klipstein) as a token of solidarity to the Israeli people, threatened by missiles from Iraq, during the first Gulf War in 1991. Pieter Lutz
Pieter Lutz (13 August 1927 – 20 August 2009) was a Dutch actor best known for his role as Fred in the Dutch sitcom ''Het Zonnetje in Huis''. His older brothers Ton and Luc were also actors and he is the uncle of Dutch actor Joris Lutz. Lutz graduated from Theaterschool in 1954 and made his debut in ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' by William Shakespeare. Over the course of his career, he appeared in many films, including the horror film ''De Lift'' and ''The Crab with the Golden Claws''. He also played roles in other television series such as the ''Pride and Prejudice'' adaptation ''De vier dochters Bennet'' where he essayed the role of Mr. Collins. Pieter Lutz married Ivonne Bernarda van Elburg (1940 – 2013) in Rotterdam on 26 February 1959 and the couple had three daughters. Pieter Lutz died in summer 2009 at the age of 82 from cardiac arrest.
