Dorion (AMT)
Dorion station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, Canada. It is served by the Vaudreuil–Hudson line. on weekdays, 10 inbound trains and 11 outbound trains on the line call at this station (in both cases, all trains on the line except one short-turned train); on weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here. Dorion station consists of two side platforms, with access between them via a roadway underpass about 80 metres away from the end of the platform. The station was opened in 1887; the historic station building still stands but no longer serves passengers, and was leased in 1999 to a mental health services organization. Vaudreuil-Dorion () is a suburb of Greater Montreal, in the Montérégie region of southwestern Quebec, Canada. The result of the merger of two towns, Vaudreuil and Dorion, it is located in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality. History On 23 November 1702, governor of New France Louis-Hector de Callière gave a seigneury to Philippe de Vaudreuil, who was governor of Montreal at the time. Rigaud de Vaudreuil later became governor of New France. In 1725, the region had only 38 inhabitants. About 1742 people began to be interested in the region and Vaudreuil's population rose. 381 people lived in Vaudreuil in 1765. With the creation of the Grand Trunk Railway, people began to live in Dorion, which was called Vaudreuil Station. Dorion became a village in 1891. Vaudreuil–Hudson (also designated exo1, formerly known as Dorion–Rigaud) is a commuter railway line in Greater Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by Exo, the organization that operates public transport services across this region. The Vaudreuil–Hudson line was originally established in 1887 as a Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) passenger service known as the CP Lakeshore West line. It was transferred to Société de transport de Montréal (STCUM) on October 1, 1982. It was refurbished between 1982 and 1990. Exo ( ko, 엑소; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean-Chinese boy band based in Seoul formed by SM Entertainment in 2011 and debuted in 2012. The group consists of nine members: Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun. They are noted for releasing music and performing extensively in Korean, Mandarin and Japanese.
